  1. Ordinarily the result would be fine, but considering how awful Gala were in the first half and how poor they were set up tactically, we should have hammered them comfortably and ended this tie in under 45 minutes. Something is wrong with this team. Since an incredible performance at City we've looked dour. Watching us is like watching football in slow motion. It's like our attackers play with shackles on and we'd prefer to slow everything down and just defend. We break free then slow down as we approach the opposition's goal, let them organise, then pass backwards! I can't see us winning the league, let alone the CL in this form, and I'm not prone to overreaction. City will get Aguero back soon and come out of their blip. I don't understand what happened as we seemed to be peaking at just the right moment - but Jose needs to stop entertaining the press and start sorting this out. Even Hazard looked lacklustre today. We'll get through this round because Gala are poor, and their fans won't be able to bully the officials at Stamford Bridge; but the quarters is as far as we'll go unless there is some serious improvement.
  2. Seems to have been the last straw for United fans. I think in the back of their minds they thought they'd emulate us, dig in and storm the CL. Now the reality of how sh*t they are has hit home.
  3. I just checked it, Klopp signed an extension last year to keep him at Dortmund till 2018. I can't see him even considering leaving at the moment, and even if he did they'd have to pay a fortune to get him. The constant loss of his best players doesn't seem to bother him.
  4. £200m to buy a bunch of mercenaries on enormous contracts like Rooney you say? It's as if we're watching a sitcom. Not to mention they'll have to settle for what the CL clubs pass up.
  5. I doubt it, who could they possibly bring in at this stage? Phil Neville to take over?
  6. We've generally done well in the transfer market since Torres. Buying a lot of young talent just to sell on seems to be our solution to FFP, and we seem to be pretty good at it.
  7. Yeah, maybe some of the married members can elaborate, but if your honeymoon is this sh*t you're doing it wrong. The misery is meant to start afterwards.
  8. He enjoys the challenge and has special feelings for the club. It's not completely impossible but unlikely. The worrying thing is he could bring Reus, Gundogan etc over with him if he did move. They may not join United now, but I can see them following Klopp.
  9. They say Klopp assuredly but I'd be surprised if he wanted to leave Dortmund. He's very happy to be there from what I gather.
  10. David Moyes, tearing you apart since 2013. Like their Giggs one.
  11. Well thanks for ruining the big plot twist!
  12. It didn't always have those connotations, that started from people performing the gesture in front of holocaust memorials and synagogues which gave rise to the theory that it has anti-Semitic undertones. The whole thing started with a comedy routine and went viral, it's not like the Nazi salute or the middle finger which have definite meanings. I don't know for sure what Anelka or Nasri or Sakho meant when they did it, but it'd be a new level of stupidity to be that blatantly racist in front of a camera with a smile on your face. I didn't know any of this off hand by the way, I just read into it when the story first broke. It has all sorts of meanings to different people in France.
  13. Oh it's a viral trend in France which initially had nothing to do with anti-Semitism. I'd be astonished if it turned out these players were openly making anti-Semitic gestures in public. Especially on a football pitch surrounded by cameras. Never attribute to malice what can easily be explained by stupidity (or in this case ignorance).
  14. Completely agree. If racist chanting warrants booting out of the CL, then regular stabbings over football should warrant the same.
  15. We have a lot of good teams, but no elite teams.
  16. Kroos would have been proud of that.
  17. Mitroglou and Weiss (two of their best players in the group stage) left in January and Saviola was injured.
  18. If United win the Champions League I'll shave Tottenham's cock into the back of my head and post it on the forum.
  19. Add this to City and Arsenal and it's sort of embarrassing for our league in Europe. We better set the record straight.
  20. United should have just loaned us Van Persie in January to prevent City or Liverpool winning the league.
  21. Lake Placid, not that old but fits the criteria.
