  1. How about debating the merits of what has actually been said rather than attacking a strawman?
  2. I agree, we can deal with the tiki taka but Madrid is the sort of team we'd really struggle with IMO. Imagine getting to the final and meeting them, it'd be as dramatic as Munich.
  3. I don't think the Mata situation was so black and white. He was never given a fair run for one reason or another, while Hazard was played into form as a contrast. People forget he was really disappointing in many games early in the season. We're not the only side in world football that can't accommodate a creative number 10.
  4. Barca should have been 2-0 up by half time if not for bad decisions. They weren't robbed, the officials were just sh*te as usual.
  5. I don't "not rate" Oscar, but I agree with Lane in that I prefer a creative player in his position. Just a preference. I think we'd be much more potent with a Silva or an Ozil there. Nobody except Hazard is really creating much in our side, we're just fortunate that Hazard has been able to compensate for everyone else in that department.
  6. If we get through I really hope we get Barca next. City gave their best tonight to their credit, and hopefully they'll be knackered for Hull as a result.
  7. He's not a bit of a knob. He's an utter c**t. But he'll be our c**t. Terry isn't on many Christmas lists either.
  8. Barca getting some raw luck with officials, no sympathy.
  9. Well this was all very dramatic. Welcome to the site.
  10. Barcelona: Valdes; Alves, Pique, Mascherano, Alba; Xavi, Busquets, Fabregas; Neymar, Messi, Iniesta. Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov; Touré, Fernandinho; Milner, Silva, Agüero and Nasri
  11. Really has to be Costa doesn't it? I haven't watched much of him leading the line, but you can't argue with 21 goals in 26 games, a rate rivalled only by Ronaldo at the moment. After doing some research on him, quite a few people seem to rate him higher than Falcao because of how much he contributes alongside his prolific goalscoring. If we can secure him for the 30m range I think we'll have finally found our Drogba replacement.
  12. He really shot himself in the foot and I bet he regrets it already. I feel sorry for him because he's such a great personality and did wonders for us in his time here, but he should have just stuck it out until the summer. We'd have sold him to Dortmund or PSG. He's stuck there for the foreseeable future now.
  13. It's odd since our team isn't particularly known for bottling it, and Mourinho especially isn't. Well I'd rather be a pessimist than an arrogant prick.
  14. We gave them a game with 10 men in Prague. You lost 3-1.
  15. Reus also has a reasonable release clause if he can be convinced to move.
  16. Yep I'm only surprised that people still fall for it. It's literally trolling.
  17. I think he'd rather stay, but I also think he'd walk if Bayern refuse to pay him what he feels he deserves (which I believe is parity with their other main players). Moyes has been seen with his agent a few times already so they're definitely sniffing around. It'd be so funny if we pulled a Willian on United over Kroos.
  18. I quite liked Gala's approach to the ballboys, the ridiculously quick circulation. It almost caught us out a few times. Barcelona used to do that as well if I remember correctly, at least on CL nights.
  19. They're mouthing off on Bluemoon as well. Haven't heard from a single goon in years, suddenly they're everywhere.
  20. I could see a draw here as well and that wouldn't be too bad in context, but we can and should be winning. We also get a week to prepare so there shouldn't be any excuses. Villa aren't under a lot of pressure to get the 3 points but they'd be pretty useful to us. I can see City dropping points against Hull after a trip to the Nou Camp, while Liverpool and Arsenal go to tough grounds so potentially extending our lead would just be magnificent. ------------ Cech ------------ Ivan - Cahill - Terry - Dave ----- Matic -- Ramires ----- Schurrle - Oscar - Hazard ------------ Eto'o ------------
  21. They're insufferably entitled and cocksure, just like the scousers. It makes it more entertaining when they f**k it all up.
  22. Hopefully he's saving his load for Arsenal then.
  23. When Arsenal inevitably bottle it, I propose the mods change redandwhite's tagline to "Specialist in Failure" as penance.
