  1. Arsenal Dortmund again, and a trip to Turkey.
  2. They're notoriously bad against elite clubs outside of Germany. It's like they play with fear in Europe. We battered them last season but they're not actually a bad team.
  3. Schalke again. I'd like some variety but can't complain.
  4. I'd like Dortmund and some easy teams.
  5. I've never heard of him before this saga or seen him play outside of youtube reels, but his conversion rate is ridiculous. I think he has a goal every 95 minutes or something like that, with an unusually high on target rate. Problem is he seems to have injury problems, the remarkable thing about him is his ability to spring back into form even after long periods out. I'm sure our scouts and Mourinho know what they're doing, but he looks like a good move on paper. Just concerned that he's made of glass and we end up with Costa and Destro both out.
  6. I think he is. He was the best player on the pitch in the CL final and had a cracking season last season. United seem to have more pressing concerns though, not sure why they're breaking the transfer record for him. If they don't make the top 4 now they're in deep sh*t.
  7. I agree we were all over them last time but just couldn't get the goal. We can certainly win here, and they've got a few injury problems. Baring no surprises we're at full strength. ---------- Courtois ---------- Ivan - Cahill - Terry - Azpili ------- Matic --- Cesc ------- Schurrle - Oscar - Hazard ------------ Costa ------------
  8. Keeps popping up in the right place. Feels so good to have a top striker up front again.
  9. He's more octopus than man.
  10. He's becoming our Xavi. Very pleased with Oscar's second half today. I've been recently critical of him but if he shows more of that on a consistent basis I'll happily eat my words. He's not really playing as a 10 any more, Fabregas and Oscar seem to interchange a lot which seems to suit them both.
  11. Disjointed first half, great second half. Pleased Oscar looked improved. Courtois is a monster, Ivan brilliant. Bring on Everton!
  12. They're the strongest of the promoted sides and won the Championship 9 points above second place Burnley. They gave Everton a good game last week, but they're missing two of their best players in midfield.
  13. I get the feeling he isn't willing to sit on anyone's bench. I think, like Lukaku, he'd rather play for a weaker team and be nailed on than compete in a squad like ours. Remember when we first signed him he supposedly had reservations about playing time and then he suffered that injury.
  14. We don't usually hammer teams for cricket scores these days. Mourinho likes to win the game then see it out. Though his Madrid side did dish out a few thrashings and we've got the firepower for it now, so who knows? It's City who are more likely to ruin your goal difference in any case. Never seen so many opposition fans visit us before. Friendly bunch you Leicester fans. Hope you enjoy the game.
  15. I thought Di Maria was most effective on the right wing?
  16. I agree he's a magnificent player, if a bit mentally fragile, but we'd have to get rid of Willian or Schurrle to take him on.
  17. With Suarez gone Liverpool's PR team needed something new to do.
  18. Apologies, right you are. They've got Arsenal after us. What a sh*te opening!
  19. Not sure mate. The Times reported it and they're no tabloid, not to mention his own tweets. I'd say negotiations are happening but it depends on whether Destro wants to come here and compete with Costa and Drogba.
  20. Has anyone actually watched much of Destro? Never even seen him play before. I'd be over the moon to end the Torres saga though.
  21. The Times is reporting that...
  22. Really unfortunate for you there mate. Burnley played a 2 man midfield and were overrun. Still even if you get nothing here, a point at Everton is not to be sniffed at from 2 hard opening games. We lost there last season.
  23. ----------- Courtois ----------- Azpili - Cahill - Terry - Luis ----- Matic -- Fabregas ----- Schurrle - Oscar - Hazard ------------ Costa ------------ I want Luis to start so we have a proper left back offensively speaking, but I don't like leaving out Ivan. Hopefully back to keeping a clean sheet and we get a repeat of the first half against Burnley. Can't wait for this game. What a team we have. I don't know how Leicester play, but they're likely to park the bus considering we just demolished their fellow promoted side and they're coming to the Bridge. This was our undoing last season, so it'll be an interesting test.
  24. Really got to appreciate this against Burnley. I can't see us ever conceding from a corner again. The guy is a f**king titan of a man. I don't know how he manages the acrobatics he can pull off with that frame.
