Paul Pogba - Needs to Sign!
Oh that is interesting. So we could potentially have Kroos and Pogba refusing to sign this summer.

Chelsea's Oscar a £40m target for Paris St-Germain
You know if we got Cavani in return I'd do it as well. May not be a popular opinion but we could move Hazard or Willian to the middle and go for someone like Reus, Draxler or any number of other great AM/winger talents and improve the team substantially for relatively little cost. I'm a fan of more creative players in the 10 role though. That said I doubt Mourinho would entertain the idea since he loves Oscar.

Paul Pogba - Needs to Sign!
Why would Juve let him go? I was under the impression that they had ambitions to get back to the top, and they're the only hope for Italian football at the moment. Pogba and Vidal is a formidable midfield though.

Aston Villa v Chelsea (PL) 15/03/14 KO 17:30 GMT
I thought our attack looked better with Schurrle over Willian, but Willian looked better than usual in an attacking sense against Spurs. Perhaps he just needs a rest. Schurrle never stops making runs and if he gets played in more often we'll score a lot more. The downside is his passing can be atrocious, but he knows how to play a final ball or make a great run.

Isn't there that long standing CL hex ensuring that the winner is always from the country that hosted it the previous year? It got us through 2012...

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
It was muscular, a big surprise because he didn't go to the national team, he stayed with us and had his rest and training. Sometimes these things happen. In the warm-up he felt something in his groin, with muscles even with a little thing you are out for a couple of weeks. We lost him but the other two scored goals today, that's the reason we want to have three strikers in the squad. For strikers, a goal is always a vitamin. - Mourinho

City have fixture congestion either way because they got so far in the cups. This isn't good for them no matter how you look at it, they'd have been much better off losing to us.

City keep knocking us out of this competition only to go on to lose to Championship sides.

City are nowhere near their best so hopefully they carry that form into the league. Hull away after chasing shadows around the Nou Camp for 90 minutes is a recipe for dropping points.

City are going to let Arsenal win a cup, f**k sake... Then again Arsenal are specialists in failure.

New Striker in Summer
Mandzukic will work his ass off, that's one of this assets. He's one of the most hard working forwards around. He's even good at tackling.
-
Matic
He's transformed our midifeld. I can see why Benfica fans called him "the spider". If we can get a playmaker next to him we'll be set. We're really terrible at keeping the ball.

Kenneth Omeruo's impressing.....
If we buy Shaw we'll have a first choice English LB and CB. Chalobah has every chance of making it in this team as well, either as a midfielder or a CB.

Chelsea v Spuds (PL) 08/03/14 KO 17:30 GMT
Great result, 7 points clear, 9 games to go. We didn't really create much today, aside from the opening few minutes, but thankfully Spurs were willing to do that for us.

Seems like every week we're getting wrongly called offside. I wish they'd leave this job to machines.

New Striker in Summer
I didn't watch the whole match today but the little I did see he played in Mirallas with a great throughball, won possession high up the pitch several times and scored a goal. I'd say that's an improvement on falling over.

Chelsea v Spuds (PL) 08/03/14 KO 17:30 GMT
They've managed some draws at the Bridge in recent history, need to put an end to that. We were better than them with 10 men at theirs, and we're even better now. 3 points here and we go 7 points clear, and we put City in the uncomfortable position of needing to win their 3 games in hand. Hopefully we pick up where we left off at Fulham.

What's with this irrational fear of Adebayor? They've stood up to all the better strikers in the league so far, like Suarez and Aguero...

Mata Post-Sale Thread
They've supposedly concealed the true cost of the transfer, if that's the case it's certainly something UEFA should be interested in.

Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Yes we chose Torres in stead of Aguero, and we couldn't sign Falcao from Porto because we'd already recently signed Torres. I'm not sure what you're arguing? It isn't the personal fault of Torres, but his signing is the reason we don't have Falcao or Aguero leading our line today. The Torres mistake hurts much more than his lack of performances, and this isn't even taking into account the lack of playing time people like Sturridge got because of it.
-
Torres - The "Groundhog Day" Thread
Do you think it was realistic to sign Torres for £50m in January, then sign Aguero that summer? Or Falcao the summer after who was directly stating his desire to follow AVB in the Portuguese press? Do you not think the recent allocation of 50 million pounds to that position had some kind of bearing on why we didn't attempt to sign those players, despite being enormously linked and having ample opportunity?

'Arry to replace Moyes.

Mario Balotelli
I'd rather take RVP for a year as another stop gap and see where we are the summer after next. The idea of signing Balotelli fills me with a sense of dread. His track record is just littered with needless drama. City got rid of him for a reason.
