I think he has a claim for top 5-10 all time based on goal scoring alone. I don't think it's nuts to claim that he hasn't really put a stamp on any of the champions league finals or major tournaments he's played in.

Knew I should have resisted making that comment. It's not based on the last 2 games though. And it's not based simply on goal scoring in which case we would all have to admit Luis Suarez is currently the best player in the world and I don't want to do that. I guess I really fail to understand how you can't see what the best player in the world does other than scoring goals. But my last comment was a bit unnecessary and everyone has a right to their opinion.

Besides the fact that the top 5 or 6 players play for Real, Barca or Bayern, Spain and Germany have dominated international football over the last decade and keep producing quality players while England has struggled. The premier league has players from the next tier, the likes of Aguero, Sanchez, Hazard, Silva but a combination of bad coaching and under performing stars have seen us struggle in Europe. Looking at this season in particular, Hazard and Silva have 2 goals between them all season, Sanchez hasn't scored in about 11 if I'm not mistaken, Hard to explain why they have all fallen off so badly, but you can see why the level at the top has dropped.

I think if the team improves and starts playing better, then Hazard's form improves naturally. We've seen enough of him to know that this is not his true level. Worst case scenario is, the fans turn on him and he decides he's had enough of the whole circus. We'll end up selling him for less than what he's worth and struggle to find a decent replacement with no champions league football.

Sell this w**ker as soon as possible. I know he carried us to the title last season but what about this season? Everyone else has maintained their high standards from last season so why hasn't he? And why the f**k are we paying him 200k if he can't even singlehandedly beat teams every week?

Speaking of Watford, if Mahrez wasn't in such sh*t hot form, I'd say Odion Ighalo's been the player of the year so far. Crazy that player of the year so far is probably between those two and Vardy. Lukaku and Ozil with a shout too I suppose.

Careful what you wish for. We sell Hazard and with no champions league football and no great pedigree at developing players, we could be stuck in mediocrity for for years. Keeping a player like Hazard after a season like this will be vital if we want to attract any big names.
