Chelsea v Everton (FA Cup) 19/02/11 KO 12:30 GMT
Every single game I watch the same crap: - No motivation - No creativity - No ability to even pass the ball 10 yards - No width And every game I tell myself next game will be different, they'll be up for that one and turn things around. But then it's just the same again. This is getting very depressing.

Seems Carlo is saving his subs for Extra Time. So if we lose in 90 minutes I'm going to be pissed off.

Well Josh won't be coming on then probably, Essien on for Mikel at HT.

Guardian the secret footballer
Well they seem to be quite eloquent and have a good vocabulary, so that narrows it down to basically Lampard or Clark Carlise.

Actually watch the replay you fool. His touch was barely a yard ahead of him, not "ridiculously heavy". Howard clipped his foot, and when running at that speed it will take the player down.

Our first touch and passing has still been very poor. Malouda needs to come off. I'd take Kalou off as well if we had the players to replace them, but we don't. Thing is, all we've got to replace Malouda really is Anelka, who is just another player who will slow the game down and move centrally. We desperately need a wide player. I might even throw Sala on just to get some width, because we are lacking it so much. McEachran has to come on soon as well, probably for Mikel.

What a waste that was, Malouda with space to run into, takes too long, passes to Cole who slows it down even more and we lose it.

Fabio Borini
Definitely should give him another contract and give him a chance.

Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals
Arsenal beat Barca. Spurs beat Milan. We draw with Fulham. :hmm: I just really cannot see us getting past either of those 2 (or City for that matter) and into the top 4. We're going to have to have a major clear out in the summer I think and prepare ourselves for maybe a few more seasons without CL football so we can rebuild with a younger side.

Should JT remain first choice?
If he's fit, he should be first choice, unless his legs really start to go and he can't keep up with anyone, since he's always been a bit slow anyway so it will happen soon enough I imagine.

Better sign Gronkjaer up quick then.

FC Copenhagen v Chelsea (CL) 22/2/11 KO 19:45 GMT
Stupid question really... Both give you CL football and one gives you CL glory & the f**king over of Spurs. Not a hard choice.

Spurs are just much better than us i'm afraid, they'll get 4th. And that's very depressing to say, but it's the truth.

Can Chelsea retain their top 4 position?
We could be looking at a 6th p[lace finish if Liverpool continue their improved run of form. This could be a disaster of a season.

Fulham v Chelsea (PL) 14/2/2011 KO 20:00 GMT
I do try to stick behind managers when I can, but this inability to see what is wrong and actually make an effort to change it is really starting to grate on me. Few more games like this and I think he'll be gone. Then maybe we can do a Liverpool and use the new manager as a "fresh start" and go on a better run of form.

Could have anyone up front really, but without decent passing from the midfield and attempting to actually go beyond the opposition backline, what are they supposed to do? Get the ball, beat 8 defenders and smash it top corner?
