Hazard just dancing around the Gala defense so far in this match - real joy to the eye too bad Eto'o was just slightly offside for that Eden pass

Can't help but think we are responsible for the Scouse revival
I find it funny - since I remember that Sturridge was one of the players that always went to the away fans after a match regardless of result.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
Yes, I do wonder why he hasn't done the old 30 minute sub to wake our players up when we have these dire first halves - I remember it was often used by him in the past tenure even when we weren't loosing. I tend to place bigger blame on our attacking players under performing in the first half - Oscar; Willian; Torres were all very poor against Villa and their lack of cutting edge in the final third was our big down fall. There was also no improvement from them in the second half. Villa had the best chances through out the match and despite Foy's heroics I thought they deserved their win. Benteke was unlucky on two occasions with chances far better than anything we were able to muster up.

Can't help but think we are responsible for the Scouse revival
You are rewriting history. He got a few chances - I can count the amounts of times he played up top for us on one hand. Playing out of position is not a chance - it's likely that playing out of position will likely lead to worse performances than playing in a position a player has trained since youth. Just watch Sturridge for England in a recent friendly playing on the wing to accommodate Looney and revisit the second half when Looney left the field and Sturridge played in his natural position. He was no more greedy than any other striker would have been if he was playing out of position. Especially on the right wing which for a left footed player always leads to a shot with his stronger foot - in fact that was probably a tactical ploy by AvB who couldn't get his wide forward in the form of Hulk and used Sturridge there instead. I'd like to know what great chances in big matches he wasted; and also a run down how many of those chances he setup himself(because we were much more devoid of creativity back then than we are at the moment) - when he was playing regularly under AVB him and Mata were our most dangerous players hands down. He was our top scorer in the League that season despite featuring very little under RdM. Most of the chances Sturridge wasted were linked with his off the ball movement or capability of eliminating a defender. I remember he was key in several of our big victories in the against City(assisted in 2-1 victory); United(scored the winning goal in the Carling Cup); Everton(opening goal in the League; winning goal in the League Cup); Tottenham(equalizer); for one season that's a lot of match changing goals/assists in big matches. If you look at his career he has top 5 goal per minute ratio in the Premier League - up there with RvN; Henry etc. He is a fantastic striker and just sounds bitter when you question it - based on your post I could just say Torres/Suarez any player playing for a lesser club is just a good player in an average squad. There is a hyperbole that he was awful as a right winger; he wasn't - he simply wasn't as good as he was at Bolton or Liverpool playing in his natural position. Despite that he still had a season that if Oscar/Willian/Schurrle had in a blue kit they would get far more plaudits about. He was good/great in most teams he has played for - usually great when playing in his natural position. He blew chances against Arsenal, it happens - he has also won Liverpool the most points this season despite trailing Suarez in the goal tally because one goal in a one nill victory is much more important in the scheme of things than a hat trick against Norwich. This is the same thing people have said before the start of this season. Yes Torres sets the bar so high it's hard to phantom anyone doing better than him. Sturridge has 11 goals; 4 assists in 17 matches against us; United; Arsenal; City; Tottenham; Everton and since moving to the Poo - the pressure is similar otherwise we could only sign strikers from direct rivals. When we signed Drogba no one was asking what history he had with dealing with the pressure of playing for us in big matches. It's only recently when we have had mental midgets up top that this type of thinking has become prevalent. Please give us the lottery numbers next

Mohamed Salah to Chelsea
No you are wrong, we signed him to replace KdB; which he has done very well

If Purple Nose was still in charge there is zero chance that United would be senctioned for either penalty today
