Its like Keane's transfer to Liverpool and than his sale just a year later or Andy Carroll and his transfer to Liverpool and eventual move to West Ham I remember how I laughed when that happened to them - now I actually think that at least the board at Pool realized their mistake fast enough and were able to minimize losses. I googled " Balotelli problem at Milan " and the most damning thing I found was a tweet after their match with Genoa; Max Allegry saying he isn't the problem around November of last year; and a DailyMail piece about Mario getting booked in August against PSV. Please be more specific about the plenty of things that have gone wrong since his return to Italy - other than Milan's lacksture results which shouldn't rest solely on his shoulders.

I think his reputation is unfair as it is with quite a few young strikers. Referees have a tendency to be harder on Balotelli - while a f**kwit like Looney gets away with elbowing opponents virtually every season and referees offer him much more protection when he is fouled. I have watched a few Milan matches and Mario has been very professional but lazy at times. I think that's the thing I don't like about him not the petulance but the laziness in "lesser" matches. I think he will eventually sort himself out - he has all the tools in the locker to be a top striker but he needs to put a shift especially when a team is counting on him to turn up. It's going to be very interesting in the CL - I think the away match at Madrid if he performs the way he played in the home match they might be able to overturn the one goal deficit, there have been some positive signs since Seedorf arrived. Taarabt is doing well; Essien looks fit and Mario looks focused.

It's up to them to prove Jose wrong. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't expect too much from them at this point and he also doesn't expect his comments to have any positive or negative effect on their effort or goal scoring. So scoring the odd goal until the end of the season would mean they exceeded his expectations which are obviously as low as possible. Jose has played down our chances to win the League - does that mean that everyone of our players should put their heads down. I like to think we use them to lure opposition in a false sense of security but most matches it probably has the opposite effect.

Balotelli even as a nut case would be a better fit for our side than Remy, anyone who doubts that hasn't really looked at the way Remy plays more closely. Milan are similar to us in a lot of ways; they have maybe two creative players a few erratic players; a past it central midfield who build up their attacks slowly. While Newcastle relies on counter attacks which is what Remy is most suited too. Mario would fit far easier into our side than a striker like Remy. Remy would be more suited to a club like Liverpool that relies on that through ball over the defense into space.

It does look a bit daft that we sold two attacking midfielders in the winter and currently look devoid of ideas, but Jose will sort it out - we've done a lot better than my pre-season expectations. Since his comment mid season about shoring up the defense - he has done just that, now its a matter of finding an attacking player outside of Hazard to find some form. Overreliance on Hazard is our big issue at the moment possibly in the last few months the second best attacking player is miles behind Hazard in terms of contribution. Someone needs to step up in that regard - Oscar perhaps after a bit of a rest; Willian has been disappointing for me in terms of end product; Salah/Schurrle need more match time. Lampard possibly is the person I'm expecting to step up myself, he has had a bit of a rest since Matic arrived and could be played outside of the pivot now instead of Oscar for a few matches. I actually expect him to start there against Gala

I don't buy this - European defenses aren't better on average than most defenses in the EPL. The difference is defenses in Europe becomes apparent around knock out stages - for Liverpool to reach the knock outs in the CL next season would be a major achievement for them. Considering their coefficient will lead them to most likely be in the 3rd Group of Clubs in the CL Group Stage. The reason he had an uncontested header was the build up to the goal, please rewatch the whole situation and ask yourself how exactly did the Swansea team fail in that situation. Anichebe also had a free header against us a week ago, doesn't mean our defense is disorganized - sometimes crosses are simply perfect and there is very little a defense can do in such situation. The main asset of Sturridge is his movement, most defenders on the continent will find it hard to keep him at bay. The best way to nullify him is to stop his supply but that would mean nullifying Gerrard; Coutinho and Suarez for a full match.
