Was inevitable but the extent of celebration everywhere over Chelsea’s defeat, the media included, has made the last 24 hours harder. Leicester had one shot in target and their performance is being talked about as some kind of masterclass. what I find classically hypocritical is the Amartey situation...can you imagine the outcry if that was a Chelsea player doing that to the Leicester pennant?

The law is an ass. The handball, even with an element of bad luck on Perez’s part cos it came off his leg, played a major factor in Leicester winning the ball back for Tielemans to have freedom/space in midfield to shoot seconds later. Without it Leicester don’t score. similarly on Wednesday when Mount’s goal bound shot was blocked by an arsenal player’s hand should have been a pen for us.

I think Tuchel was also thinking about tuesday’s game with some of his selections.

It’s not that simple, as was shown last summer. Chelsea have dross on big wages and clubs don’t have as much money to buy them due to Covid.

Well on top of seeing Leicester lift the fa cup, hopefully the chelsea players see the clip of Leicester’s Amartey throwing a Chelsea pennant to the floor in a disrespectful/mocking fashion at Wembley tonight and get fired up to make amends.

The mad thing is that just like last season, just finishing top 4 will feel like a bit of an anti-climax now even though it’s a good achievement. Winning cl was a pipe dream but to miss out on the fa cup twice to inferior teams is a kick to the mid-section.

Hard to believe that this time last week all seemed lovely jubbly and we were celebrating a win over Man City.

Final rant...not sure what Bt were like but BBC’s coverage was a disgrace. I get the underdog and Leicester being more of a story, but it was the most one-sided coverage of a final I’ve ever seen. They even knew they were crossing the line with commentator and lineker saying at different points ‘sorry chelsea fans watching, we are saying this (but basically in other words fcuk it)...’ chelsea aren’t popular, we’re part of the super league conspiracy playing a team who had never won the competition before..I was always expecting this to be reflected somewhat. But it was so Leicester orientated, it was like tuning into Leicester’s own website. Expect the national broadcaster to try and be fair to both sides.

I agree. I just don’t want the players to get a hall pass.

I’m pissed, performances were not the best, Tuchel’s decisions were ropey and chelsea weren’t great. But football comes down to small margins. For two games in a row, we have lost to one meaningful shot on target - and not made most of having more chances in the final third, with luck you need going against us. hopefully it turns back our way and bloody quickly.

I’ve just had a pop at Tuchel too but Players have to take some responsibility though. What was that for 30 minutes in the second half?

Has done a great job but has fcuked up two games in a row, thinking about the games ahead, rather than the task at hand. Now we will see how good he really is over next 2 weeks. Some task now.
