Best albums of the 90s anyone ?
I agree that Santana & Pink Floyd's best stuff was done in the 60's & 70's, and I don't think it's possible for either band to better what they did then. But that doesn't mean that their later stuff is all crap - a bands style changes over time, due to different line-ups and musical influences. I still like Santana & Floyd, though some other bands are definitely past their sell-by date My favourite early 70's rock band, Deep Purple, made four brilliant consecutive albums - "In Rock", "Fireball", "Machine Head" & "Made In Japan", but then they fell out and their music went drastically downhill. Their album "Come Taste The Band" was probably one of the worst rock albums I've ever heard, though of course Ian Gillan, Roger Glover and Ritchie Blackmore had all left the band by then. Sorry to hear about Brad Delp, he was a great vocalist - RIP.

I've liked Santana since the early 70's, great band. Carlos Santana is one of the great guitarists! As is Gary Moore! Any guitarist that can play in Colosseum II and Thin Lizzy can't be bad, and his blues stuff is brilliant! Must be honest, I haven't heard of half of the stuff you mentioned - I've been spoilt by all that great music from the 60's & 70's - when you've been brought up on that, nothing else compares

Ah, they're not too bad - just a bit of lightweight, but better than average pop. Not in the same league as Showaddywaddy, obviously

sheva moans about JM - signs are bad
I'm not sure thats true though. I think Jose would have been happy to keep him both in his first year and thisyear. It was Crespo who wanted to go back to Italy. That's kind of my point - Mourinho didn't see Crespo as a regular first team player, and so only played him now and again. If Mourinho wanted to keep him, he should have played him regularly and given him some respect and dignity. For a player of Crespo's class, it must have been like a kick in the teeth to be treated the way he was. As I said before, I don't blame him for wanting to return to play in Italy - over there they play him in his natural position and don't drop him every other game.

I still think that if Crespo had been given a fair chance, then he could have been a Chelsea legend. Crespo is still a Chelsea player, and I'd love to see him play in our current system alongside Drogs (or Sheva). I don't blame him for wanting to stay in Italy under the circumstances - he's a world-class striker, why would he want to return to a club where the manager obviously doesn't rate him, or appreciate him. You say his heart isn't blue, but neither would yours be if you kept getting f*cked about by your boss

I disagree - I think Crespo was an excellent buy, but he wasn't played enough. He was given the odd game here and there, but he still did well. If he'd been given the same chance that Mourinho gave Drogba, Crespo would be one of the best strikers in the EPL now.

Best selling albums.
I've been sussed! I was the bearded one with the beer gut who wanted to fight everyone ................."Hey Rock'n'Roll"........................." Don't you believe it mate. Sometimes I can be getting on with something, not thinking about anything in particular.......when I can have the most terrifying flashbacks to the horrors of "Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep" and even "Tie A Yellow Ribbon". It's awful, too painful to go into too many details. On really bad days [sob], I've had a Paper Lace flashback, and on one horrendous occasion, [God Help Me] a clear memory of Little Jimmy Osmond appearing on TOTP. Someone pass a bucket......

Chelsea vs Porto. Show must go on!!!
Not sure about what came through on the TV, but my neighbours definitely knew what I thought of the ref He was totally inconsistent - he rightly booked Robben for diving (his second dive in about 5 minutes), then let a Porto defender get away with exactly the same thing without even giving a free-kick. Overall, I thought his refereeing was very poor - no surprise there, then.

Sould Tevez have been sent off yesterday.
Having watched Tevez's goal celebrations at the weekend, I think he went much further than Robben did. Actually, it looked to me that Tevez not only took his shirt off and jumped into the crowd, but he also went into the club bar for a couple of pints and shagged the tea lady before returning to the pitch

if no premiership title, is the season a failure?
There's no way the season can be considered a failure if we don't retain the Championship. Nobody should expect to win the league every year, it's just not possible. Other top sides are always going to want to compete for the title, no matter how unrealistic their chances might be, and the smaller clubs will always want to beat the reigning champions. Then you've got to take into account the injuries we've had this season - losing Cech AND Carlo at the same time was extremely unlikely, yet it happened. Joey's been out all season, and I think we've missed him terribly. JT's injury wouldn't have been so costly if we'd had decent cover at centre-back - that and having Cech & Carlo out at the same time as JT. We've some promising youngsters coming through who have been performing very well out on loan - so why wasn't Michael Mancienne brought in temporarily to help out in some of the more low profile games while JT was out? Instead, Essien has been played out of position for months now, and that hasn't exactly helped our situation. Just as much a reason for us being on the verge of losing the title is the diamond formation that Mourinho has insisted on this year - and some of his team selections have raised eyebrows. To constantly play Ashley Cole ahead of Wayne Bridge is criminal, considering Wayne has been on top form this year. And his reluctance to drop Ballack when he hasn't been producing the goods doesn't make much sense either. Plus, some of our performances this season have been piss-poor. Some? Make that most of our performances. Having said all that, I'm just happy I've been able to see us win the league, not once, but twice in a row! Something I wouldn't have even dreamed about just a few years ago. We're still in with a very small chance of retaining the league, we've already won the League Cup, we're in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, and are doing OK in Europe. Personally I don't think that's bad going, considering some of the seasons I've witnessed at the Bridge
