By the way you do know I was being sarcastic about him justifying the fee right?

How people can say Ronaldo is better than Messi is beyond me. I love watching him play always exciting to see what he will do next, I love watching Hazard play don't get me wrong but Messi is just phenomenal. Compare the quality of goals Messi scores with Ronaldo, you'll see the big difference, Barcelona play much more like a team. Ronaldo might score more but he doesn't touch the surface with Messi, not even close as a footballer.

Did you not see Phil Neville highlighting all of Di Maria's hard work against QPR on match of the day? Definitely justifies the fee...

Willian
So you're saying managers never get things wrong? I think it's pretty factual that Willian doesn't have many goals or assists to his name, is it wrong pointing that out? Or is it wrong because the manager has selected him. That's just a lazy argument.

Didier Drogba Returns!
If I'm being honest he did sort of ruin that legacy, it's a hard way to put it because instantly when someone says that it looks baffling, but when you think about it he left in the most amazing way a player could ever leave. The last kick of the ball was what won Chelsea there first Champions League ever, (hopefully not only Champions League ever) After such a long and painful time of failing to achieve it we finally done it. That would have been remembered forever, that wont be the case anymore sadly, he will always be remembered obviously but just not in that stature anymore. That probably doesn't matter to many people however I loved that sort of legacy about him. Part of me is glad he is back though, I think he has done a good job so far whenever he has come off the bench, I also think we haven't seen the best of him yet for what he can do for us this season. He seems to thrive when we are in need, we haven't really been in need but we will be eventually. For example the knockout stages haven't even started yet.

Willian
Well how boring should this forum be then? Lets just all agree with every decision Jose makes from now on and not argue about anything.
-
Willian
Not saying I don't agree with your argument because I do rate Willian, but what you posted there is just nit picking all his highlights of the season. Lets not forget the minutes he has had, we are first in the league, he was a big money signing, you can pick those highlights out of any player in the side. Funnily enough you could pick better highlights out of Schurrle and he had way less game time than Willian.

What's with the United love? I can't stand them personally, the most arrogant tossers around.

Branislav Ivanovic - Your Views?
It's going to take some remembering when he goes to put up all his important goals on here and his best moments, it's amazing when you think about it, especially for a right back.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea (Sat 7th Feb, 15:00) (PL)
I didn't see anyone moan about Courtois, I saw people concerned about him on crosses, since he dropped the ball from it on 4 occasions. It was during an intense match against our bogey rivals Villa, who seem to get all the luck in the world against us, you can imagine what was going on through some of our heads. Didn't want Tibo to be the reason for it.

Statistics never tell the full story that's what it is really, Willian by watching him play the stats added up because he wasn't getting forward enough, wasn't beating players enough or roaming in dangerous positions. However he also had a duty at Chelsea he was hard working but he also got in on the play, he is actually a very good footballer, he doesn't lose the ball much I've noticed. I'm not one of the ones suggesting to go get erikksen either, just an example, I mean come off it, if you think the spuds are going to sell to us you've got another thing coming, they wanted 50 million from us just for Modric yet happily sold him to Madrid for less than 40. As for your last point that's not a bad thing, I would rather people be more realistic than delusional like many other sides fans. Also look at the criticism on here, have you looked at the Arsenal and City forums? They absolutely give there players sh*te if they can't win a game or do something properly, Navas gets it badly, Giroud wants to be murdered by a majority of Arsenal fans. Yet I think our criticism on players is a lot better, I say it's constructive criticism, at least everyone has explained there point here. At the end of the day we all want what is best for our team regardless, we are all on the same side.

Maybe it's just another case of competition. We still have another spot to fill, Salah has gone, we can get a replacement, should we look out for another CAM? or move Hazard in there now and then? Because sometimes we lack creativity, I thought we seriously lacked it against Villa, okay we did manage to get the win. But the Villa defence was dire, just look at the first goal, no other side in the Premier League would concede a goal as bad as that. They were a lose side until they managed to score. However our sloppy play was dire, I'm not surprised we got a lot of criticism in the match day thread, yes we overcame a bogey side but if you looked at the circumstances, you can see some disappointments. I'm not sure what to make of Oscar, I like to think we haven't seen the best of him and I am confident that is true, but I think he needs to raise his standard of performances, as does Willian but from the last two games three games Willian has looked much better.

Cheeky how?

Willian
I agree, but remember the league isn't over. I still think we have to raise the bar if we are to win the league, we have overcome some hard places, Villa for example just then. But we can't approach every game in that way we have to do better in the future, we have had moments when we just aren't clinical enough or creative. City will get stronger at one point, not negativity it's just true, going to be a difficult challenge until the very end the way I see it. I just hope Cuadrado most of all has influence because if he does I'm sure Willian will also.

The fact he has one assist all season goes to show how much statistics tell the story really, because if you watch him play he is fantastic, not just his goal scoring but he gets the team going with his fantastic play.

I can't really bring myself to hate Claude, he might blame Wenger for anything if they lose but he does speak sense at times, that Ty however is absolutely deluded. I hate fans like that, did you see him in the Stoke 3-2 game when he said had alexis's shot that hit the post in the first 10 minutes had went in it would have been a different game. Like honestly those fans are a joke, it's crazy you get people that are so delusional, he almost puts Liverpool fans to shame.

Is this Chelsea squad really that good?
Perhaps but I prefer to watch the player, I've watched a handful of his games this season and he is a good player don't get me wrong but I would look elsewhere if we are to sign a replacement for Mikel or even another option in the midfield regardless. A lot of talented players in the other leagues also.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea (Sat 7th Feb, 15:00) (PL)
I guess as long as the players are setting a right example I don't have any major issues with it, unlike that Idiot Jack Wilshire in a night club with girls and a pipe... imbecile.

Are our rivals about to catch or overtake us?
To be honest after I saw Cities fixtures I expected to still stay above them when January had finished but I certainly didn't expect this gap. Regardless I'm not going to write City off, you must respect your rivals, City have been written off in the past and still come out with the title twice. I have complete trust in Jose though, we need this, we have to concentrate on each game, a gap doesn't matter it is winning the title what matters most of all, so we shouldn't be relying on any teams to beat City it's all on us. No blaming Frank Lampard, no blaming FFP nothing, it's up to Chelsea to win the title, we don't then that is on us, still a long way to go so it's not our title to lose by any means however I still think we need to raise the bar a bit if we are to win the league. Which I think we will, I can't wait to have Fabregas back in the side already.

Didier Drogba Returns!
Since when does he have to start games in order to have value? Whenever he comes on in the last 10 minutes he has been class, he's hard to handle and he always wants to score against a tired defence. I was against him starting today, I wanted Remy to start this one. I don't think he should start games either but bringing him on he is definitely a useful sub, still a large part of the season to play and I stick by what I said, if people want to give up on him now then that's fine, Drogba isn't a player to write off though regardless of age.

If we are lucky, they will just give us weekly updates of his weekly performances at L.A. Galaxy.
-
Oscar - Little Diamond
Yeah I agree he was, so I didn't find it surprising but I didn't see a mention of Oscars performance, not that it's a big of a deal I was just pointing it out. Since a handful of people wanted Drogba and Ramires subbing.

Yeah I hope we don't get like Arsenal, those players are an absolute embarrassment.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea (Sat 7th Feb, 15:00) (PL)
Yes negativity at Villa Park, who would have expected that, since we win there all the time. Seriously there wasn't that much of an overreaction, we didn't play to the best standard people weren't happy about it, I didn't see anyone calling for Jose to be sacked, chill out.

I was referring to the match day thread, everyone was calling for Ramires's and Drogbas head in the first half.
