  1. FFP

Sloth replied to Bobbywoodhogan's topic in General Chelsea FC
I just heard on Sky that Chelsea have done what Manchester City have done and that is balance the books. Am I missing something here?
  2. To be fair we lost due to a very very very sh*t referee who took it into his hands to turn the game over. As of now they might still get that luck, they might see the game as a turning point, but no more bloody excuses, we are good enough, much better than this lot. We have to win this game, even if we don't have Fabregas.
  3. QPR are f**ked for this, no way are they staying up, once they go down they will have to lose a crazy amount of money and sell players or they will get f**ked over by FFP.
  4. Scored two big goals against City, a crucial goal against PSG, hattrick against Fulham, two awesome goals against Stoke. Had an impact in the short time he was here and the short time he played. Oh and for some reason, I loved that goal against Arsenal, just a favourite of mine, as we bullied them all game Schurrle just rams through and BANG.
  5. That's because you're on a Chelsea forum. We are supposed to be optimistic. Last season when we beat you 1-0 at the Etihad, the Bluemoon was predicting a 5-0 thrashing.
  6. What is really the point in a deadline when they allow time after it? I don't understand it, no excitement in the deadline then really is there. Like Arsenal with Danny Welbeck, makes no sense. A deadline should mean everything, even the finalizing etc. What's so special about it then? Looks like Sky do just milk it afterall.
  7. I think the Etihad sponsorship deal allows City to invest in themselves doesn't it? I saw a lot of complaints about it when ti first happened and it was highlighted as a criminal deal. Also they are expanding the stadium, something we can't do as of yet, not sure we ever will.
  8. We had a lot more factors than you did I can assure you. You were on the back of some bad results yes and were missing Toure and Nasri, however we were missing the leagues top assister and the leagues top goal scorer. Not to mention that Liverpool game really had an effect on us, I didn't think it would but you were much sharper than us. I would be disappointed if I was a City fan if I'm being honest, I really thought we were going to lose that one. No one is writing City off on this forum though, however things have gotten very intense between both clubs, I think that was always bound to happen with competing with one another.
  9. We should be going through with it either way, although I can see the FFP factor in it.
  10. I think it's 6pm it closes mate, at least that's what it said on Sky. But still regardless time is running out.
  11. We didn't start parking the bus until later on in the game. However regardless Ronetta, you must admit Chelsea will be happier with the result, you should be kicking yourselves, we were there for the taking, our players were very tired in the 2nd half.
  12. I think Mourinho wanted Zouma anyway. He's not exactly youth, then again neither was Sturridge, however when we signed him he was meant to be a freakish talent. He was starting games for Etienne when he was about 17 years old. He was even the captain I believe I could be wrong on that though. RLC was just brought on for the sake of it I believe, fresh legs and we had about a minute left if that, many managers just bring on subs to waste time. Cahill was more tactical as we were indeed just parking the bus for the last 6 minutes.
  13. We had four youth team players on the bench because there was no other first team squad members available. Fabregas, Mikel and Luis out with knocks, Costa suspended, Schurrle and Salah are on there way out.
  14. Sloth replied to Zola's topic in Chelsea FC Rumours
Arry Redknapp has signed him on a bargain I heard.
  15. We had a fantastic player in Daniel Sturridge and we never gave the lad a chance and whenever he played he scored. He went out on loan to Bolton, scored more league goals in few months than Torres did all season and when he came back what happened? We still didn't play him in the striker role, we played him out wide. He was more of an inside forward yes but he wanted to the main man and we still wouldn't push Torres out of the side for him. Sturridge is one of the most consistent strikers you will get, even in his off days at Liverpool he will score.
  16. That doesn't mean he didn't come on games, he came on a lot of games at the end of last season and secured them a lot of vital points. Points they desperately needed. As for the youth, if you think Bamford is going to be 3rd choice next season then I wish I shared your optimism for our youth. But I can't see that happening in the slightest bit, if I were you I wouldn't have a good amount of faith in us giving youth players a good chance.
  17. Drogba is a very useful player, many people on the thread don't see use in him. How vital was Dzeko for City last season when you think about it? He barely played and was used as an impact sub and won City a lot of points during the late end of the season. It's good to have variety, it's what wins games, we can come at teams in all shapes and forms. I can't wait to see Drogba come on against Spurs in the cup final, we know how hungry he will be to grab a goal, it's his favourite place.
  18. Drogba was a late bloomer, Suarez at age 24 was completely different from Suarez at age 25 and onwards. Oscar is good at his age but you can't predict potential, you can compare him with Lampard but they are different players, late bloomers aren't exactly a common species are they. Oscar will obviously improve but whether he will become a world class player or not is definitely something we can't just predict like that.
  19. I can't believe some of the comments about Drogba in this thread. You are talking like he has been bad when he most certainly hasn't. Before he first came people were asking if he would even score a goal, he already has a handful and has scored when needed. Jose brings him on in the last few minutes because it's hard for sides to deal with him, he might be slow but he has raw power running at the defences, he can't be stopped when teams are tired.
  20. I was furious when that went in, just made the result embarrassing I felt. My stream was awful though so I could barely make out I just assumed it was Azpi then Cahill, Pastore absolutely schooled Cahill big time in a friendly 2 years ago when they were under Ancelotti also. That was when we were playing in America, for a player who is apparently sh*t, he has had two good games against us.
  21. I just knew Juan Mata was going to miss. Out of all the players he looked the worst going to take the penalty, looked very nervous, whereas David Luiz as clumsy as he was, he was confident as anything taking that penalty. Didn't Mata miss 3 penalties that season also? I'm sure he missed two penalties back to back against Birmingham home and away.
  22. He does have the occasional bad moments, he is a fantastic fullback though, wouldn't trade him for anyone right now. Was it him in the PSG game who got absolutely skinned by Pastore? I can't remember but was one of the worst I've seen of him.
  23. As silly as it may sound that should be the mentality right now. No way we should not be winning this game bogey side or not, they are a absolutely gash, 3 points is a must, I'll have concerns if we don't win this one I really will.
  24. Looking at some of the goals against Villa and that was some shocking errors from the keeper, that penalty and Bellerins goal, awful. Surprised no one has mentioned, I hope he has a game like that against us.
  25. http://gfycat.com/Spiffy*denticalBaboon Anyone seen this beauty against Ajax yet? What a goal.
