Are Liverpool our 'rivals'?
While without the Beatles there would be no Clash, I have to give credit where it is due! Strummer wouldn't exist w/o Lennon and Harrison, f*ck McCartney, toolbox! As my old man would say McCartney is a two timing c*nt giving the idea to buy music rights to Michael Jackson. To this day, he forgives me scratching his Bealtes albums to the early 80s rap/DJ sh*t but will never forgive McCartney for the idea to Jackson! My folks' first date, when they were 13 years old was the infamous Shea Stadium show in '64. It's a terrible shame I got in the way of my Dad seeing the Clash there in I think '79! I was 6 years old at what is now Strawberry Fields in Central Park on that dark cold December day in '80! Phoney Beatle Mania has bitten the dust! For me, Pink Floyd, The Clash, Joy Division, and us Yanks version of The Beatles, Talking Heads, none other sound more unique... Maybe Radiohead who I've seen multiple times and love but that's a stretch! You Brits always put out some quality bands! Right along with Churchill... What happened? Correction: The Clash in '77, thinking The Police in '79! You get 2/3's the credit there!

Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Ahh yes! Classic. Sorry, I am playing catch up here... Maybe if the EU would throw out those fecking tosser nations who are broke and still let people retire at 50, my workday would be more enjoyable and I can read a thing or two in the footballing world!

Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Love it! How fecking delusional! They have a midfield relying on Giggs, Scholes, and Carrick... A defense made up of that tool Rio who's nothing short of a jigsaw puzzle, going to pieces in the box, and let's not forget Evra who's been whining about race more so than playing. Ferguson is on his way out and albeit Rooney is off to Madrid before Jose goes to United! Have to love denial! It's like a zombie cannibal on bath salts!

Wonderful! Had me in stitches, thank you!

Eden Hazard at Chelsea
Wish you felt this about Hulk, lol! It would've saved me a few hours of reading you're posts on that thread... Relax, I am making light of a good day for Chelsea!

Hulk, Falcoa or Higuain which would you prefer and why?
I really like Higuain the best out of all of them but unless Torres has a complete meltdown with service from Mata and Hazard, we do not really need him. I think with Sturridge as a competent backup and who knows may flourish playing in the middle like he wants, we don't really need another striker. If Torres can't put the ball in the back of the net with the service we are looking to give him, surely Sturridge can... And if he can't well than, play Hulk there and put Marin ont he right, problem solved but I seriously doubt it will come to that. My choice would be Hulk for his versatility... For Chelsea, Hulk would be ideal because he can play both as a striker and out on the right wing and he does both well... Sure people can argue that he plays in Portugal and/or his fees are a bit excessive and how we are taking a big chance. WIth that said though, what 25 year old not named Messi is a sure thing and even Messi is a no guarantee. Its a lot of money but I think Hulk will pay huge dividends whether its shirt sales, or playing, and more than likely both... I hope we could lock it up soon though, that way we can close that monstrosity of a thread going on...

Sagna and Walcott?
No thanks! Lets move on, nothing to see here... Let them stay at the Arse!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Clearly, we need a Mod in here to shut down this thread! It's been hijacked by a few individuals who are spoiling it for all others who actually want to speak about Hulk and what he can contribute if he comes to Chelsea!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Correct me if I am wrong but, I believe Chelsea are the first club from Europe to host mini academies in Asia. And if memory serves me correctly, we have invited young Asian players to come to Cobham as well. My wife and I traveled extensively in Asia last November-December (right around the time when the wheels came off the bus for Chelsea) and Chelsea's presence was no where near the level of City, United, Milan Clubs, Madrid, and Barca. In Singapore, United really dominated. Whenever I saw someone wearing a club shirt and/or advertisments it was mainly United. All throughout Malaysia it was pretty much City this or City that, I would think due to the large Muslim communities there. United were still represented fairly well. In Thailand, very much the same with a lot of other European clubs thrown in. Japan, clearly is about United and the other European clubs. Adding Hulk would tip the scales though! With that said though, Chelsea gear were definitely being spotted just not as prevalent. Usually, it seemed to be western tourists more so. Met up with some Chelsea supporters from Australia in Singapore and had a good time over some pints. I think the Champions League crown will push us further up the chain and we will be much more known throughout Eastern Asia now. It's a good time to strike, while the iron is hot because it could bring in massive amounts of revenue for us. Quite popular here in the States already and will only grow more so with the CL title! I am sure the brass and marketing department know what they are doing, just as the scouts do with player selection. Edit: By the way, this is simply from my observations traveling through that part of the world. I have no statistical data whatsoever...

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Tired of hearing the arguement that Chelsea overspent... Who cares? It's not your money so what do you care? I have trust in Roman and his advisors and if you think they have not talked it through and poured over financial statements, you are kidding yourselves! Even Torres and his limited goals thus far have probably paid a lot. Sure, the negative press may be bad but one thing you must know... Good or bad press is press and everytime we are mentioned, it brings in money! It's not like Hulk or Torres are wasteful and will both come good and the club will bank millions! Look at LFC, now they spent and have not received any dividends! My apologies but I am done with this thread! I will come back when Hulk is firing lasers at goal tenders and Mata, Hazard, and Torres are either putting the ball in the back of the net in rebounds or are picking it out of the corner of the goal to celebrate!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Not yet, so far we have David Banner but once he starts playing and gets competitive, Hulk will show his true green color! Green in so many ways but with the trophies that we win that green will line the Chelsea pockets!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
That's an astounding amount of money but considering what we received, I am guessing Roman has made twice that back with the money he spent! It's a very good symbiotic relationship. Porto makes a ton and we turn a profit with the players we get and help us win trophies! I know people are against paying that much for Hulk but Roman is a billionaire for a reason and since none of us are no where near that in net worth, I trust what he does and spend! Wish everyone else was on board too!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Agreed, this kid is special and it will allow Sturridge to play as a striker behind Torres, which is what he has wanted all along. I am still a bit in awe that in the month of May Chelsea has knocked off Liverpool for the FA Cup, beat Bayern in Munich in the Champion's League Final to be crowned Kings of Europe, signed Marin (who I believe will be a very important player coming in off the bench), nicked Hazard away from the Manc clubs, and now have signed Hulk... It feels like Christmas when I was a child but better because the real fun will start up this August... I don't see many stopping this... The front four are going to shred the United back four... Ferdinand? pft, are you joking? Stick to tweeting what you've had for breakfast, you mug! ............................Torres/Sturridge/Hulk...................... Hazard/Mata.............Mata/Hazard...............Hulk/Marin ...................Mikel/Romeu......Rami/Lampard Cole/Bertrand....Terry/Cahill...Luiz/Cahill.......Ivanovich/PF?/Van der Wiel? .......................................Cech........................................ Loan out Piazon, Josh, Kane, Nathan, and Lukaku preferably all to the same club so they get time together for the future... Maybe Wigan under Martinez or Bolton in the Championship under Coyle. They both would assist in developing these players... Merieles, Malouda, PVA, and Hutch on the bench because after 70+ matches we are going to need a lot of players getting on pitch at various intervals all season... F**ck me, August cannot come soon enough... And just found out today Swansea is coming to Denver in July to play the local MLS club. I know, not a big deal for you guys across the pond but for us its great. Last club to come through was Everton about 5 years ago. No idea why the Arse never does, considering the owner lives here and owns 3-4 other sports teams.... Plus the Euro beginning next week...

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
...And if you lump in Adam, we could probably add another signing of our own and still be slightly over them slouches at Anfield!

Random Rumours
I remember a few years ago and this troll said something along the lines of "Cech stinks like a three day old curry" after he made a blunder and allowed a goal in... Just another Chelsea hater, I guess?
-
Hulk coming to Chelsea?
I know he is young still but Feruz looks quite good too! Maybe after Torres hangs them up?
-
Hulk coming to Chelsea?
But is Lukaku ready? I still think he should be loaned out for more playing time. Rotate Hulk with Torres and Sturridge. Hulk up top, bring on Marin or move Rami, giving Lampard time... We are gonna need to rotate all season because we will have to play a ton of games
-
Ivanović to Real Madrid?
He's going no where, even he said it would make no sense to leave Chelsea because he is happy. Plus the five years left on his contract, I just do not see this story have any merit

Guardiola wants Chelsea job ...
While I agree RDM should get the shot, at least for next year, I cannot stop thinking that RA is wanting Pep badly... Hazard, strong rumors on Hulk, plus another big signing (Modric?), for me means that Roman is pulling out the wallet and plans to revolutionize Chelsea in one summer. Makes sense but who really knows nowadays?
-
Lucas Moura
Oh, I hope we are wiser than the Yankees! Being a kid growing up in NYC in the 80's we chased lavish free agents and won nothing... Nothing worse than the Arod contract though! Guys horrible and we still have to pay him $24M per year for another 3-4 years! Perhaps the most ridiculous contract in sports! He's a total slouch!

Hulk coming to Chelsea?
Maybe Lukaku can go to Bayern and show gomez how to hit those sitters he missed in the final? Joking obviously...
-
Hulk coming to Chelsea?
I am begining to wonder if Pep is actually in the cards... Not very customary for Chelsea to go out and lock down two with a third possibly on the way before June even kicks off... And these are big names who are coveted by a number of clubs (except Marin really)... Why all of a sudden the change? Are Chelsea looking to prove to Pep that they are going to rebuild with a more fluid squad? Anyway, RDM or Pep, it has been a FANTASTIC May! Beating the Scouse in the FA Cup, Kings of Europe (giving us and not Spurs CL next year), Hazard and Marin signing (well technically Hazard) and who knows we still have thee days left! Brilliant, absolutely f**cking Brilliant!

Lucas Moura
Weren't they asking for 50M too? Kid is good but that's a lot for somebody who hasn't even played Europe yet...
