  1. Can't disagree, I have no problem with Maresca being sacked. The problem is it looks like we're getting a manager that has no business being Chelsea manager currently, which has shown everybody that 'the project' is more important than the fans and the on field success of this club. I feel like this has given everybody that big wake up call, myself included, that the people running the club are not fit for purpose.
  2. Agreed, I feel like I've given the ownership a hell of a lot more leeway than a lot of people, but they've strayed from teething problems to they're running the club into the ground.
  3. I actually feel bad for keep going in on Rosenior, but SURELY there must be people in the owners' ear saying how terribly this appointment will go down? He's getting the piss taken out of him massively, and that doesn't include the genuine anger some people have. Also, the senior players must surely be able to push back. Why the f**k would Palmer, James, Fernandez and Caicedo want to be managed by a guy who has never done anything as a player (with all due respect to the EFL Trophy he won with Bristol Rovers) and currently has done nothing as a manager. They didn't move here to be at club happy with mediocrity. I'm in genuine disbelief that this is happening, it feels like a bad dream.
  4. At the time I thought it might work out, but what made the Potter appointment sh*t at the time was because it meant Tuchel was going. What makes this one crazy is that if you liked or loathed Maresca, nobody wants this Rosenior appointment. No Chelsea fans I know personally, nobody on here, not even anyone on social media thinks this is a good idea.
  5. Yeah this is much worse than Potter, he at least showed he could be a decent premier league manager, Rosenior is a mediocre Ligue 1 manager.
  6. Absolute word salad. It's like if they did an episode of The Office where David Brent managed the five a side team.
  7. Yep, unless in the summer when Rosenior has taken us to 9th Clearlake finally grow some balls and ask Eghbali why him and his board of losers have pissed their investment down the drain.
  8. The only hope we have of recovering the situation any time in the next few years is if Boehly puts together another consortium and buys out Clearlake, otherwise we're destined for, at best, a Spurs like existence.
  9. I'd like to say I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, I'll get behind him and the team etc but I feel so clocked out. I've never felt as disheartened about the state of the club as I do right now, it might sound dramatic but to me it genuinely feels like the end of our time as an elite club. I was so happy to see Maresca get the boot but we are now in the process of appointing somebody even less deserving of being Chelsea manager than Maresca was. The club we loved is dead and there's nothing we can do about it.
  10. That why you can't even blame him if he takes it, but it'll become apparent within months that he'd be out of his depth. Nobody can watch that PE teacher speech he gave in the changing room at Strasbourg and think he's going to keep us on track to becoming an elite team again.
  11. If Rosenior is appointed there needs to be massive protests against the board. It isn't even against Rosenior because even he will know he shouldn't be anywhere near this job, it would be an absolute embarrassment.
  12. Good decision to sack him, but if we appoint that f**king dork Rosenior it was pointless.
  13. Yeah why wouldn't I be happy about a tactically inept, arrogant egomaniac getting the boot. The only concern is if they appoint Rosenior
  14. Sporting mediocrity loses a lot of money though you'd think
  15. We all know the writing is on the wall for Maresca, but the next appointment is going to show exactly what the board's intentions are. If Rosenior is appointed I think that basically confirms this lot are not in it for trophies.
  16. Surely it won't be Rosenior, pissing off the Chelsea fanbase with a sh*t appointment and pissing off the Strasbourg fanbase in one move would be a pretty spectacular case study on what not to do.
  17. Yeah I think it's over, I'll be surprised if he's still our manager come the city game.
  18. With Maresca though, if you're going to publicly go to war with the hierarchy you've gotta have credit in the bank and the results to back it up and for me he's done nothing to put himself in a position of power. 1 win in 7 games and he's crying that the board are asking questions.
  19. I just don't see it, they're doing plenty of things badly but I can't see them dictating subs or team choice. It's more likely the bloke playing Malo Gusto in midfield and sticking Chalobah at right back that's making horrid decisions.
  20. I'm somewhat baffled by some of the 'big' Twitter accounts saying getting rid of Maresca would be a bad idea. I get that there are issues at board level, but it should be the SDs AND Maresca going, not just the SDs. Maresca is clearly out of his depth and it's been showing for a while, he can do his talking on the pitch but instead of that we're treated to some of the most boring football I've seen us play and not even getting results to justify it.
  21. I doubt they have a say in what happens on the pitch, you're giving Maresca far too much credit.
  22. Far be it from me to stick up for Eghbali and co, but please remember that Boehly is the guy who oversaw this 22/23 transfer window. There is a happy medium between the two and I am just not sure why we can't do it.
  23. Bermuda Triangle FC where good strikers disappear.
