  1. Like a lot of the previous posts, I'll be happy with a point here today.
  2. Not overly fussed about the competition itself, but another good win would really bolster the confidence that's going around the club at the mo' 3-0 would be sweet.
  3. I hereby declare him our very own caped crusader, coming to the rescue when it looked like a lost cause !!
  4. Had to put this one up today !........Taken exactly 50 years ago (almost to the minute?)
  5. Just seen on Sky sports news, that Juventus have turned down Man Utd's latest offer for Paul Pogba, but say they can have him for £100.000.000 ?????...... ONE HUNDRED MILLION for a player who's stats for Juve' are : 35 Appearances = 8 goals and 12 assists. Your having a laugh
  6. I think the earlier images were captioned incorrectly ? where it says "looking north from the Fulham road", I think it's actually looking towards the Fulham road from behind the North stand (Matthew Harding) and the flyover on the left is actually over the railway tracks behind the East stand. If you look at the above photo you can actually see the railway underneath the proposed motorway. Here's the overhead view.
  7. Don't feel ashamed mate! you're just being realistic. Can't see England getting through the group stages myself, and to be honest, since the F.A hung John Terry out to dry, and gave the captaincy to a Barman battering scouser, I couldn't give a toss about the national side. .
  8. Like most other Chelsea fans of course I'm disappointed things didn't work out for JM, but to carry on like this brain dead is doing is nothing short of footballing blasphemy. Jose may well have lost some of the plot towards the end, but there were a lot of extenuating circumstances that also played a part in what was going on at the club during this period. And if it was all Jose's fault how is it that some of the teams performances under Uncle Guss were just as bloody awful as anything we experienced before Jose left ? I will always be grateful to the man for what he delivered while he was our manager, whether it was trophies, tantrums or tears, it was always done the Mourinho way. Good health Jose
  9. Now that's what you call "karma" !!!
  10. At the start of the season I wanted Villa, Sunderland & Newcastle to all go down, mainly because we always seem to struggle at these places regardless of the respective league positions at the time of playing. Sunderland, the spawny gits, do it every season and get away with it ! two years ago they were as good as down at the end of March, then suddenly start playing!! they manage to stay up, with 3 points against us at the Bridge giving them a huge helping hand, and same again this season. Still I suppose as the song says, "two out of three ain't bad!"
  11. Couldn't agree more with you Scott !
  12. This game epitomized the way we have self destructed this season. The total lack of commitment by the players once we have gone in front has been nothing short of disgraceful, a sort of "That's it, we've done our bit" sort of attitude. Not for a minute thinking that the other side might actually have the balls to fight back, and when they do it's like, "Oh bollox to it, I'll still pick up my pay cheque anyway".... These people do not care about the club or the supporters who spend hard earned cash to travel to places like Sunderland, Newcastle and further afield in Europe to give much needed support (sometimes in extremely hostile environments) to a bunch of players who are picking up a massive amounts of money every week for simply "going through the motions". I read in a recent interview that some of the players stopped playing for Mourinho because,.. "He stopped talking to us"..When you look at some of the performances since they got the man sacked (because that's what they did !!!) can you blame him for not talking to them ? Don't blame Mourinho or Hiddink for the disgraceful fall from grace we've seen this season, but instead, take a look at the so called superstars on massive wages who have been given every chance to prove themselves under two quality managers time and time again and also being supported by the best supporters in the country. Despite these factors they have failed miserably, and in the process cheated themselves and the fans to a point where I, after almost 55 years am getting to the point of thinking "is it really worth all this sh*t?"
  13. If I was Hiddink, I would make this apology for a Chelsea team walk all the way back to London,...........you never know, they might pick up something on the way !! Total disgrace.
  14. Every season, regardless of how well we are doing in the league and how badly they are doing, but every time we play this lot or their black & white striped buddies, we always struggle to get anything from them. This is the main reason I want these two guttersnipes out of the premier league....
  15. Just double checked and realised you said shiFting !
  16. Maybe he's seen some of the comments on here ?
  17. Great post Scott, think you pretty much summed things up there !!
  18. R.I.P mate, you were a genuine Chelsea great when the chips were down and long before the big money and glory days came to the Bridge. You will be remembered by everyone who ever saw you play. Sleep well wee man... .
  19. Truly devastating news. No one can begin to understand what this poor family are going through at this awful time, but what we can do is to let them know that our thoughts & prayers and, our hearts are with them throughout what is undoubtedly, the worst time of their lives. This beautiful little girl will suffer no more but will now rest in peace and be free from pain. God bless sweetheart and may the family find some small amount of comfort from the love & support of Family & friends around them at this saddest of times.
  20. anyone have a decent stream that isn't smothered with bloody adverts ??
  21. Can't understand why nobody has commented how brilliantly Guss handled that conference ??
  22. This man puts the whole bloody lot of em to shame, a true legend. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_uuVZcnPCwQ
  23. So much for the relatively straightforward victory I was anticipating ?..
  24. STEADY ON GUYS !! AT THE MOMENT THERE ARE ALMOST A THOUSAND "GUESTS" LOGGED IN, NO DOUBT LOOKING FOR A SHED END MELTDOWN !!!
