Jaycee made very valid points and I am in agreement with him/her.

On what basis and I now oughted as a liverpool supporter? Just because I am neither white nor from London? I love football and i enjoy watching many teams in the premier league when I do have time to get to match's but do I have to be a liverpool supporter just because I don't agree with some points of view?

So, on the basis of that defeat, he is a terrible manager and no chelsea manager has ever lost an FA Cup tie to a lower league side or a team struggling at the wrong end of the table before in the last 30 years? Come on. This is getting silly now.

I don't think I am naive. All I see is a person not wanting to get drawn into an issue that was as stupid and as bad as it was. And he (suarez) got punished for it as expected.

I think a small number of supporters are and have been very unreasonable. On many issues. Not to say Benitez isn't stubborn and could have handled his arrival much much better by at least, taking the initiative to at least apologize or to make some amends but that's him. You either like the fella or hate him..he is one of those sorts. And on the question about his substitutions, with a squad as small as it is..what else was he supposed to do? Questions should have been asked of the management and owner why Lukaku wasn't recalled in January and 2-3 more players brought in to re-inforce the squad. We instead went and bought Ba and closed shop there after.

Do you know many managers who have won the champions league, uefa cup, europa cup, the spanish la liga in the space of a 11 year period? Not many out there, Jose aside.

Don't think it was about offending liverpool. He was asked straight after the match about the incident and he stated he didn't see it and didn't want to get drawn into the issue. That;s all he said.

If you had watched liverpool match's in the past, that's Benitez. He doesn't react the way we hope/think managers would. He always seems to be thinking or planning the next step. That's one thing I have noticed in the past when he managed liverpool and they scored..his reaction.. That's just my opinion on your comment. Not that I am saying I am correct but it's an observation I have made of him in the past and his reactions to goals scored.

Why is everyone so quick to loan Lukaku out..he isn't a bad player at all..

I think the "we" is a small minority and doesn't represent the majority who may not have agreed with him being hired as a manager in the first place but realize the problem lies not with Benitez but with the management and owner who decided it was time to sack RDM. He has done what he has been able to do with immense pressure from supporters home and away and with 1 striker to choose from on some days and then having a limited squad to work with on other days with so many match's to play and worrying about form, fatigue, injuries and yellow cards, etc. I think he has done a decent job and he has won us an important cup and that's about it really. He benefited from it and so did we. Don't quite understand this great hatred for the man but anyways, as I stated, am pretty sure it's a minority who just hate the fella whilst the majority have been pretty mature about it and just either ignored him or given credit when it was due.

This guy is just an amazing talent..glad he is here and not anywhere else!

I hope they do a parade before the match on Sunday...it would be great for the supporters and for the club. We just won a european trophy and another cup to celebrate.

I thought he played to our strenghts and weaknesses today...the players looked exhausted and you could tell towards the end of the match, players were struggling with pace and turns when marking players and recovering to get back into position...he had his best 11 (and probably the most xperinced side out there) and felt he needed to go with experince as long as possible and not disturb the momentum or discipline of the side by making substitutions. But he was right in that it has been a massive juggling act with 1 striker to choose from and a lack of quality and depth in the squad and a quality defensive midfielder. Anyways...I hope he gets a good send off and a thank you. He has done a decent job and deserves a thank you.

I was impressed generally in how he had to manage the squad with 1 striker and a limited number of players to choose from. I don't understand why the club didn't bring back Lukaku in January when it was obvious we needed another striker on the bench given Ba was cup tied but he has done well and has won us a cup. I don't think the booing and chants did anything positive for the team, players or management. If anything, it should be directed at the owner. Anyways, another cup win in europe..it's what we all wanted anyways and he achieved it. Thank you Benitez.

This post season friendly match idea is very bizzare given the players have already played so many games and need a good break. Oh well...money money money.

Things could have ended up a lot worse..we are in a european cup final and are battling for 3rd with the likes of Arsenal and Spurs. He not be popular with some supporters and ignored by others but he hasn't done too bad a job. I just wish they finished off the year with a win at the CWC in Japan. I just don't think he deserved a lot of the flak he has been getting at home and away..it hasn't done him or the team much good..and some of the things being said/sang have been pretty awful. Best thing to do was just to ignore him and support the team.

Surely there is some truth to this..i would be shocked if they let him leave without giving him at least another year..he has had a steller year for the club.

Defending has to improve dramatically for this one...we were really bad against Rubin last night with those crosses and headers..

Horrible second half by our standards. Should have closed shop but those crosses and that soft penalty....anyways, good to see a solid goal from Torres and Moses each...but the defending?! What was going on between Lampard and Luiz at half time?

Great goal from him...good to see him playing well and finally getting some much needed goals. It will do his confidence a world of good.
