  1. lol. To be fair though I would sooner have in someone who is fit than say use Hazard if he was carrying an injury and then see Hazard off after 5 minutes and a sub wasted. I know Rafa tends to waste his subs anyways but still. If JT and Lamps do start here you have to hope they will inspire the team.
  2. He does that and we will lose. Heck think we will lose reguardless. Side is on its last legs and inspiration appears hard to come by.
  3. Have to wonder if our season, just like the end of this game, just ran out of steam...
  4. Oh how I wish this game was now...I know that would do the lads no good but having to wait for Saturday and maybe then it still not being sorted. Damn those missed chances against Spurs and Saurez's late goal! Or the dropped points against QPR...
  5. Predict Rafa's line up with one and half eyes on Benfica? Cech Azpi, Cahill, JT, Bertrand Mikel, Romeu Yossi, Oscar, Moses Ba Leaving fit for Benfica: Cech Azpi, Brana, Luiz, Cole Ramires, Lamps Oscar, Mata, Hazard Torres Ok not sure on the Benfica side but you can picture it come 12PM Saturday cant you?
  6. This. Is. Huge! No beating around the bush, we are facing a side by rights near the bottom of the table. They are not there by fluke or bad luck. They are that low because they are young, inexperienced and lack the quality that we have. So it is up to us to go there and do the business. No excuses that they are often our bogey side. We put 8, yes 8, goals past them in the reverse fixture so there is no reason we should not win this game, end the speculation about our CL future next season and then look ahead to the final. Cech Azpi, Luiz, JT, Cole Ramires, Lamps Oscar, Mata, Moses Ba Just get at them lads, finish the job!
  7. Some time has now passed since the game ended. I was at work watching the game updates on here, enjoying the heat headache I had while doing so... so while I remain disappointed that we gave away 2 points having lead twice and had control of a large part of the game still I look at it now that, before we played United, we were level on points with Spurs (with them having played 1 game more) and 2 behind Arsenal (who had played 2 more). Had we been offered this now, 3 ahead of Spurs, 2 ahead of Arsenal with 2 games left for all, we would have taken it. At least I would have. Now we need to beat Villa or Everton to get top 4, maybe need to beat both to get 3rd. Still in our hands and is up to us to perform. Do not agree with Rafa's subs or the starting defense for that matter but do not agree wither that he is out to sabotage us. His chances of a good job go down dramatically if he is the only Chelsea manager to fail to deliver CL football next season AND no silverware.
  8. Villa away for us. Stoke away for spurs. Who handles their relegation threatened opponents best may well get the cl place.
  9. Having had a little time to calm I still feel let down by the result. However we were level with spurs and bellow arsenal before we faced united. Is up to us to do the job now. Also wonder if the rumours about ba and his knee not letting him play twice quickly is true.
  10. Gave it away. Should be all done and dusted now we need to beat villa who are fighting for their lives can only see that hurting us vs benfica too. I guess had we been offered this before united we mostly would have taken it
  11. This is a big mess up on our part. Should have ended this right here.
  12. My fears coming true. Mis-placed confidence. I believe we will lose now.
  13. I have a horrible confidence for this game. I say horrible because invariably when I am confident we manage to underwhelm and disappoint. So now my confidence convinces me Spurs will win lol...
  14. Have to agree with Davey. So long as we do not lose tonight we are in good condition for the CL spots. If we want third place though we need to win imo.
  15. A huge game, it is a European final after all. However I can only give it full consideration if, and only if, we beat Spurs tomorrow. Otherwise then we will have another huge game against Villa to come first.
  16. All this time Jose to United has long been touted. I guess all those rumours may well be finally coming true.
  17. My my my, how the plot thickens. Jose knows United are the sort of club that will allow you to build a dynasty, whereas with us Roman may turf him out before his feet are settled under his old desk again. Never thought I would see the day Fergie stepped down. Would be a massive boost for all the other Premier League sides, that is unless Jose does indeed take over.
  18. Wonder if Mikel is really injured or is being used as an excuse as to why he is not being used.
  19. Great for Romeu if he has recovered to that degree but this is not the game for him to be tested out in. Should we win minutes against Villa and Everton could be good for him.
  20. A side that could give us trouble if we are not at it 100%. Mind you I guess that does not say much given QPR did us when we dropped well bellow 100%. spurs do not need us to drop so far as that though!
  21. Wigan may get something from them but Newcastle..well Newcastle 0-6 Liverpool... But Spurs deserve a crack at the CL after last season and the fact Arsenal are bloo*y useless in it so offer England no chance of winning the trophy so would be better if Spurs got that spot.
  22. I would not expect Hazard, Mata and Oscar to all start this one, even if Hazard is fit. Can see Ramires on the right of the 3, maybe Moses, with the job of following Bale where ever he may go, much like the man marking job Essien once did on Gerrard. Cech Azpi, Cahill, JT, Cole Luiz, Lamps Ramires, Hazard/Mata, Moses Torres. What I expect Rafa to go with on Wednesday. This is now a must not lose game. I think we are in the drivers seat after todays great result and if we avoid defeat here I believe we will make it. A win and we are home and dry.
