I can see how the link ties together but no way can see this one happening. Not that I cannot see Roman thinking that all 3 of his main targets appears to have gone up in smoke so if Rooney was available I could see him trying but no, just do not see this one happening.

Our shortlist for forwards was meant to be Lewandowski. Cavani and Falcao and it would seem that all 3 may already have moves lined up elsewhere.

United are not in the business of allowing a player like Rooney to run down his contract and leave for nothing. Seems like posturing to me on their part. He will be sold for the right price, but cannot see him coming here. PSG seems like a good bet, they have the money to appease both United and Rooney. I do not see Barca or Real going for him, some of the Italian clubs might but not sure they have the resources. Wealthy Russian sides may do as well but I doubt Rooney would go there.
