  1. No need to start with Luiz or Ramires for this one. We should have enough depth otherwise.
  2. The end of the Championship is quite interesting. After the weekends results the last weekend pits Hull (currently second) at home to Champions Cardiff while Watford (currently in third) are at home to Leeds. Should results fall in Watfords favour this weekend they would go up and should they do so that way, or via the playoff's, could well be Franco wants Chalobah to be his midfield corner stone in the PL next season. Should that be the case would be hard to argue one season of that not being the best course for his development. If Essien does come back then I agree with him taking Mikel's spot.
  3. Not really an excuse, more how I see it. Man for man Real have a better group of players than Dortmund. They should have won, but played bellow their ability. It was a Champions League Semi final, for a chance to play at Wembley,to need to be motivated for such an occasion. well what business do you have in the sport if you need to be motivated for that?
  4. He did a great job for us and is remembered fondly by most of us Chelsea fans, like our former players are Jose is a great Chelsea legend for me. So I want for him the best, why when Inter beat us that one time there was a small silver lining in that cloud. And as much as Dortmund have formed themselves a little fan club for their recent success you look at the sides and bottom line it had Real bothered to play to their quality in the first leg they would not be beat 4-1 by Dortmund or any other side for that matter. Though really that was mostly down to Lewandowski doing a good Mark Viduka impression and having a worldly game. Looks like an all German final. Hope Bayern crush them, they deserve it after last year as does that nice Bayern fan who was building up to the final with us last year.
  5. Gutted for Jose. He deserved better than the piss poor showing real put in the first leg.
  6. Hope proves to be true but this usually ends up with someone at the club or Lamps's agent denying it.
  7. To be fair Webb is, in general, one to help United but really what does another poor ref showing against us and in United's favour get United? Title is theirs, record points tally is gone. It means nothing more than a win and 3 points. So to be honest I am more worried about what we will get from United than the ref. As for Mike Dean, personally think he is a show man and can screw anyone at anytime, so just as good a chance Spurs get it as us. Again so long as it is not Foy then not going in to the games behind on the officials.
  8. The team selection against Swansea does make you wonder, this could be the side Rafa picks if he thinks the job is done already. But if the Europa and winning it is THAT important to him, why would he take the risk of a Basel come back?
  9. This is the time we have to make up for it. Got to take back those points United took from us at the Bridge. They are still quality but now have essentially nothing to play for. After our good first leg against Rubin Rafa focused on the City game and rested players in Russia. Did not work out for us that time, I hope it does this time. The Spurs game is crucial, I have no doubts about that but for momentum as well as the points I feel a good result at OT is pivotal as well.
  10. If the expected happens and Spurs and Arsenal win next Saturday then we have to beat United, otherwise will be a very hard slog to finish top 4.
  11. Ergh... Spurs vs Soton QPR vs Arsenal Then Man United vs Chelsea I can see another horrible, horrible weekend coming up for us...
  12. 2-1 up from the first leg, and a very important trip to Old Trafford just a few days after this one. What side can we best put out to rest for United but still go through against Basel? Cole is suspended after his booking in Switzerland. Cech Azpi, Brana, JT, Bertrand Mikel, Lampard, Hazard, Oscar, Moses Torres Try and kill the game off early, if we get in to a strong position can rest Lamps, Hazard and Azpi/JT. Hopefully we can do just that.
  13. All we could ask for at the start of the weekend. If last weekend was a nightmare, which to a degree it was, then this weekend restores the balance. Spurs drop points, we have a comfortable victory to take advantage of it and be semi rested for Basel in the week and hopefully United do us a favour at Arsenal.
  14. That would be my question lol. I guess Rafa thought was better to have Yossi on the bench. But a fresh Moses running late on against a tired Swansea could have got us another goal or two.
  15. Agreed though I guess one thing you know about Fergies united is they dislike losing even when nothing is on the line so there is hope.
  16. We could do with a third sounds like Swansea are starting to grow in to this half.
  17. If both results stay the same we can but only way to be sure of it is to win all 4 remaining games. If United do not at least get a point at Arsenal with the gunners current form I would say it is unlikely.
  18. Maybe a defender for defender sub here is a good idea then.
  19. Hopefully Fergie picks a weak team against us and they play crap there as well.
  20. Let us hope Rafa's famous half time talk does not mess this up. Once more it is imperative we get the 3 points here!
  21. 201 with one half and 5 or 6 potential more games he might play in.
  22. Great to get a goal before half time but we must make sure to focus. 3 points here are imperative we must not throw them away again!
  23. Hope he is ok for United, he is one yellow away from missing the Europa final so if he were to sit that one out is not a bad thing.
