Nothing Rafa can do about this to be fair. Sunderland are defending decently and we are not showing anything good enough to break them down. Hazard, Mata and Oscar don't have enough in them to break them down? Really? Not good enough to break flipping Sunderland down? Is not down to Ramires and Mikel, who have done decently winning the ball back from those 3 giving it away and supporting the attacks. As I said we need Drogba to break them down, no Drogba means another 3 points likely going bye bye with the away side and us getting to enjoy another year in the Europa. Spurs really know how to add salt to the wounds don't they lol.

Looking at Rafas rotation this last week, I could well see this being the side: Cech, Paulo, Brana, JT, Bertrand, Lamps, Mikel, Hazard, Oscar, Marin, Ba.

From the side selected against Southampton I would expect, if fit, the line up to be Cech, Azpi, Cahill, Luiz, Cole, Ramires, Mikel, Oscar, Mata, Hazard and Ba.

Yesterday was a waste, Rafa attempting to help us for this match but really for the clubs benefit he got it wrong. We needed the 3 points and getting none has harmed our CL chances massively, but what does he care about that? Whatever he did yesterday I believe our chances of progressing here went when Mata did not put away that late chance at Old Trafford. Even if that is wrong as it has been pointed out here City is next and I do not expect us to be able to beat United and City.

Very disappointing. Every time you hope we turn a corner bang something like this happens. Start of a week where our CL hopes get slimmer and our runs in the Fa and Europa cups come to an end imo.

We are always looking to improve, but if Roman wants to focus on building the side around 1 or 2 players then he would not go far wrong with Hazard and Mata. Oscar may well come in to that mix as well.

2-0, job done. Had we been offered that before kick off it would have done nicely. Could have scored more but a clean sheet and 3 points gained on City and Spurs is a good way to go in to the international break.
