  1. Could happen, we do need a clear out. As for the Torres loan thing goes, only as a last resort. We really just need to sell him, not end up in a Crespo situation where he stays out on loan, we pay part of his wages still and get no transfer fee. That is just bad business.
  2. Will not happen, we are already done in the League cup and the Europa we only have Torres up top so have no chance there either. Even if it did, Robbie got sacked with a more impressive trophy haul. I would still want the special one back in the summer.
  3. No problem with Berty being picked there as having Mata, Hazard and Lamps should be able to create. Given Cahill is out only different selection I would rather see is Oscar in place of Ramires, who have been really poor of late.
  4. Indeed, another option for us for those positions as well. It would see unlikely we could find room and game time for him, Josh and Chalobah at the same time but you never know. The next manager may want Ramires to be sold, or Mikel. The former has been poor this season and the latter does things well but not great, yet we seem to have settled for that over the years. As things stand no one for me has done really well in those positions on a consistent basis this season. At the moment I rate them equally and see them in different positions. Nat as the deeper player (i.e. Mikel) and Josh the more creative player allowed to go further forward, in a 2 man or 3 man deeper midfield. Realistically unless we bring them in for the club trained players rule I expect both will be loaned out again next year, De Bruyne seems the more likely to get a place in the squad imo.
  5. With Lamps all bar gone for next season I would not be too unhappy to see our options for the 2 deep midfielders (if we keep playing 4-2-3-1) being Josh, Chalobah, Mikel, Oscar and Ramires. Yes Luiz could play there as well but I just expect him to end up back at CB at some point. Romeu could use next season out on loan, playing week in and week out, to get over the serious injury he got this season.
  6. Already dreaming of a big move to Barca it seems too lol.
  7. I have no idea anymore when it comes to what Chelsea will turn up. I will guess at a draw.
  8. Will he still want the job if Rafa helps us to avoid another top 4 finish?
  9. Credit to Swansea, have no issues with them. They came up last year and played the game in a good style and, if they do go on the win the COC, it will be a big achievement for them, bigger than it would be to us anyways. Now from our point of view. Dire, absolutely dire. Once again we are embarrassed. Surely Roman cannot allow this to go on. You want a stop gap to try and get Pep, well you think he will come with no CL football? How far we have fallen since may is truly unbelievable and humiliating.
  10. Pirlo is talking him up to join Juve, at least The Moos would end up being happy :P
  11. Nope just speaking from how I would feel about it. Just the level of respect I have for the man and what he has done for our club.
  12. The idea of having a part of me pleased to see United lifting major honours because that means Frank is winning major honours just does not sit right with me. It was rather enjoyable seeing City screw them over at the last possible second last year. It would rob me a lot of that pleasure if Frank was to suffer like that.
  13. With AVB at Spurs and how West Ham fans treated him before, little chance of that.
  14. If he is staying in the league then I can see him only going to a rival, but to see him in the United shirt would be a terrible feeling.
  15. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/chelsea-in-danger-of-losing-taison-after-1523569 Link from what Scooby was aluding too, also mentions Rafa will be judged and how well we do in the Europa, League, and FA Cups. Guess the league does not matter then...
  16. You expect anything less? Keeps happening, therefore Roman is happy with it.
  17. And the wedge between Roman/the board and the fans gets bigger and bigger...
  18. Hmm Falcao to the Bridge, Torres to Atletico with a bunch of cash covering his excess of wages as well. Everyone is happy. Too much to ask I know, but then we would be left with just the one Spaniard at the club that none of us want here...
  19. Yup was my thinking too, if I remember correctly we were holder that year too.
  20. Given what we achieved last season, and the invest in the squad thus far, a minimum return would be a top 3 finish (accepting we are still not as good consistently as the Manchester sides but there is no excuse for being bellow Spurs or Arsenal). and winning the League Cup. We are the strongest side left in the League cup so as long as we apply ourselves properly we should win it. We do not know who we may end up with if we progress in the FA cup and Europa, aka United/City, Atletico etc; sides that, at their best, could certainly beat us even if we play well. If the draws are kind and the top sides are knocked out or we beat them, I would expect us to do well in those competitions too. Add to that Roman deciding on a different full-time manager and selling Torres and that would do.
  21. Main thing is we make it there but if we are going to ask for an opponent I would ask for Bradford lol
  22. Difficult side Swansea are to predict this season. They have looked good but also lost some games you did not expect them too. They will be up for this, no doubt. To the other 3 sides winning this would be big, less so for Villa maybe but they have gone a while without a trophy. Winning the COC will not make or break our season, finishing in the top 4 or not will likely do that. However been a while since we won it and we are nearly there so I hope we play a strong side, go for the throat, leave Torres on the bench and take a good scoreline back to Wales.
  23. Ahh we had hope for a little bit there... Would be heart-breaking to see him in the United shirt. Hope his love for the club will stop that happening at least.
  24. A weakened Soton so not to over-reacted, but it was good to see highlights of a striker looking like a striker. Still hope the club allow Frank to carry on and take over Bobby Tamblings record.
  25. Stronger side than the one that was picked for QPR, just about. Should be strong enough, but so should have been the side that faced QPR. The under 17s should be strong enough to beat QPR as well mind you...
