  1. Cause a big part of Rafa getting the job for next season is getting the old Torres back, so he will keep picking him and hope.
  2. Ahh the anger dies down, another lesson in humility from Chelsea. Only game this season where I felt supremely confident we would win, and win well, and could see no other outcome than a win. Ahh well.
  3. In terms of one that promised so much (making the champions league by the thinnest of margins, a great start to the league season, the signings of Hazard and Oscar, Robbie getting to keep the job, having 2 finals already set up and being two wins away from being World Champions) and looks to be delivering so little, is hard to argue against it.
  4. We have been left to feel several negative emotions this season. The gutting brought by the sacking of Robbie, the continued, pig-headed, stupid persistence with Torres as our sole striker. the feeling of emptiness left by the knock out blow from the champions league, the surrender of being outplayed in the super cup, bested in the community shield, our first shot at the CWC ending in disappointment; the anger brought from the defeat to United and Clattenberg etc. However today is the first time I have felt embarrassed, truly embarrassed, this season.
  5. QPR beat us...Spurs above us in the table...deary me...
  6. Well the fact I had to wait several minutes for this website to load shows how many angry fans of ours are on here to spew their guts in disgust, and I am no different. This performance and result are beyond farcical. This is the ultimate act of disrespect from the team to the fans, the only way the could have made it worse would have been giving QPR a guard of honour off the pitch! Rafa is to blame because he ultimately picked a side that lost and made changes that did not improve us. But the players are more at fault because the side that was picked should have had more than enough to batter QPR. No Cole? No big deal we should never have had to worry about QPR as an attacking force. No Mata or Hazard? Oscar has a big fan club in our fan base and rightly so, he has been very good this year. And Marin, how many on here wanted to see him get game time? How could we have given him a better chance than against the leagues worst side?!!! Other than that, Turnbull was forced in place of Cech and we still had our 50mill CF up top. So how did we lose to this piss poor side? Is our squad so useless that we cannot rotate against even QPR and still get a result? Absolute joke, Happy new year from Chelsea Football Club. You think Demba Ba will fix this? Really? Really?!!! When Torres is undroppable! Heads should roll Roman, starting with those useless advisers you have at the club and Fernando F'in' Torres!
  7. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8377128/Chelsea-launch-7m-bid-for-Newcastle-striker-Demba-Ba Well that seems to suggest we have decided to give him, and his agents, what he wants. Maybe all the other options we looked at would have cost more overall...
  8. A tough job but somebody has to do it...;)
  9. "Chelsea are believed to be giving him a pay-off to top up his wages to £80,000-a-week." : http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfers-daniel-sturridge-on-the-brink-1513933 Great dealing again Chelsea board if true...
  10. Well at least a chance to gain 2 points on Arsenal in the battle for the top 4. Not great but something at least.
  11. United just have far too much firepower not to win the league this season. Our battle is most likely with City and the other teams around us for 2nd place and down.
  12. You are not expecting any favors from Stoke, Reading and especially Wigan now are you? We wont be able to gain anything this round of fixtures most likely, just do our job see off QPR and go from there.
  13. Would be absolutely shocking if it came to pass. Seeing Ash in United colours would be bad enough, but Lamps would be unbearable.
  14. If it is about money the club have to stand their ground, only players of the class of Falcao should be allowed the "silly money" terms since we are cutting the wages of the higher earners as we go on. If it is about not being second fiddle to Torres, can understand any half decent striker saying the same thing, they know they are better than him so why should they wait on the bench for him to need a rest? Could end up with Torres as our ONLY option at CF until Moses is back from the ACoN.
  15. That cannot be a surprise to you if you saw any of his Arsenal games. Loan Jamal Blackman he would do much better for you. And keep young Chalobah as well, no better person any player could learn from than Franco. Zola deserves better than to work for, and get treated poorly by, the current "board" of our club.
  16. They are maybe the only side poorer than Villa at the moment so anything other than a win, and a handsome win at that, is unthinkable. If our players turn up and play as they should it will be comfortable.
  17. So we hear, and if we had any sense he would have a 50/50 chance of starting up front and rotate with Ba (should we sign him). Either of them up top would offer more than Torres imo. But Roman does seem to lack a lot of sense these days, his hardheadedness with Lamps and Cole, as well as Torres, the continued examples Deal being agreed may refer to us meting Newcastle's buyout option hence a deal between the two clubs is agreed, just not with the player yet. Deal agreed rather than deal done.
  18. This signing, the more I think about it, would make a lot of sense. Ba is already adapted to the Premier League, would not cost much at all (think if we wanted Cisse Newcastle would ask for 20mill plus) and offer us a physical option. He could well be a signing for 18months, allowing Lukaku to gain more on-loan experience and then for him to take his place. If we could add Walcott to replace Sturridge we would have a few good options. Have to wonder if Falcao could not be got now, if we are head of the line for him to replace Torres in the summer.
  19. Huge result. Everton most of the time, especially at Goodison give ourselves and most sides in the league a really tough game, even if they are missing key players. Great result lads, and like many on here can we not find a deal that works for both the club and Lamps (as well as Ash) for him to stay on a bit longer?
  20. I'd take Theo but half the stories out are he will sign for us, the other half is he will stay at Arsenal so we will see. How about another option for the list? That being Vitesse striker Wilfred Bony. We have a link with them so the fee should not be too high, and offers us a more powerful forward option.
  21. Arsenal, Spurs, City and United all win today, more pressure for us, who have the most difficult game of the 5. Everton may have a few out but still will be a very tough game imo.
  22. Spurs above us in the table as things stand now, what a dreadful start to a Saturday...
  23. Spurs still winning, being bellow them in the table is not good enough. Finishing behind them last season was only acceptable by our Cl success ending up screwing them over. Now that cannot happen again this season so finishing behind them again is not an option!
  24. Spurs winning, and above us in the table as things stand. Sunderland can beat City but are losing to Spurs?....
