Brentford v Chelsea (FA Cup) 27/01/13 KO 12:00 GMT
I thought yesterday we would lose or nick a draw, thankfully it was the latter. Has Rafa been sacked yet?

Swansea v Chelsea (COC SF 2nd Leg) 23/01/13 19:45 GMT
Well I cannot say I expected what happened with Eden in this one to come to pass but the result does not surprise me in the least. We are not a top side under Rafa, that is a "fact". We will be lucky to get a top 4 place. Funny to think we started the season with a chance of what, 7 trophies, and will end up with a near certain none (if Rafa stays to the end of the season). Now we have more negative headlines around us. People at the club talk big but when the chips are down we just fail hard at the moment.

Not worried about that in the slightest, just merely venturing an opinion as to why the Villa vs Bradford game was not being mentioned, at that point, so much on here.

Think we would be more focused on that had we not royally messed up our first leg against Swansea. Credit to Bradford for their win though, a great achievement for them getting to the final.

Courtois - a major headache on the cards
At most other clubs we would sell Cech for a big price and bring in Courtois as it makes the most business sense. Normally though that is not how we do things. Courtois should be given a new 5 year deal and loaned to a Premier League club who will ensure he is their number 1. This way he gets league experience and we get to take a closer look at him. If he does well then the season after next we have a very hard choice to make.

Swansea v Chelsea (COC SF 2nd Leg) 23/01/13 19:45 GMT
It is possible just highly unlikely. Referring to one great game where we did turn it around against a good side does remind me of the Kopities saying "remember Istanbul" whenever they needed to turn a game around. (Rather comically once actually when my best friend and a kopitie mate of his were watching Liverpool 1-4 Chelsea and his mate turned to him and said something like "we can do it, we can turn this around, remember Istanbul" to which my best looked at him and said "not this time, we are going to get f**k*d" just as Geri scored the 4th). Hope the lads can prove me wrong but we just are far too Jackal and Hyde to have a clue what will happen, which is more like the Chelsea I know from when I started to be a supporter lol.

Swansea v Chelsea (COC SF 2nd Leg) 23/01/13 19:45 GMT
Damage was done by Swansea in the first leg, damage done to the club since Rafa arrived? (not just the team but the relationship between the fans and Roman too). As for the game, too much for us to overturn this one. We would need to score a bucket full as the chances of keeping them out seem slim to none.

Chelsea v Arsenal (PL) 20/1/13 KO 13:30 GMT
And the likelihood is now we will have several more clear pens turned down because of how highlighted this one is being done so by the media. But at least this one was an important blow in the battle for the 3rd and 4th positions in the league.

What is happening about Ashley Cole's contract?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2265523/Ashley-Cole-highest-paid-defender-world-agreeing-new-Chelsea-contract.html Crazy if true, and to think that we are pushing Frank out of the door to save monies... Really if they wanted to lift the atmosphere tat the bridge the new deal would have gone to Lamps not Cole. I am pleased Ash got a new deal but it changes nothing about what has been going on at the bridge of late.

Cannot bring myself to want United to win any game, so this will do for the day. A good weekend for us for a change.

Chelsea v Arsenal (PL) 20/1/13 KO 13:30 GMT
A welcome and surprising 3 points, but in a game where neither side has a real goal scorer on the field, at least until the 81st minute for us, it was likely to come down to who gets lucky. Seems all 3 goals had that element too it. On another day we are blown up for a foul by Ramires, the ref says he dived for a pen and Walcott is given offside. All very borderline calls. Had RVP still been at arsenal he would have taken some of Girouds chances, no doubts, and we would have lost.

Thibaut Courtois to Chelsea
http://metro.co.uk/2013/01/19/barcelona-plan-big-money-bid-for-chelsea-goalkeeper-thibaut-courtois-3358075/ I think we paid 7mill for him, so yeah "big deal" with a 3mill profit...if he is to go make them triple it.

Who's next? - Manager talk (merged)
Will never happen, if anything the fans reaction to the man he hoped would get Torres firing will have further distanced Roman from the fans. I doubt he cares what we think.

Who's next? - Manager talk (merged)
Would say it should be someone that we have neither strong positive or negative feeling to from the start. Most serious managers wont touch Chelsea with a barge poll now given either Roman loses faith in you or the players do, so not having a legend like Robbie in to be treated the same way will save all this turmoil we have going on right now. With that in mind Capello sounds a good choice to me.

Chelsea v Arsenal (PL) 20/1/13 KO 13:30 GMT
Unless we have quickly drawn up a target wish list after Pep turned us down and one of the top targets on that list is willing to take over right away I doubt we will see Rafa gone until the summer at the earliest. So as we watch Arsenal rip us apart, let us think back to may and what a glorious, unified team we used to have.

Moyes would be mad to come to us, any of them would. either Roman loses faith in you or the players do, either way only someone looking for a quick pay off would take over as Chelsea manager after seeing what has gone on of late.

Chelsea v Southampton (PL) 16/01/2013 KO 19:45 GMT
You can see how gutted and frustrated Cech is in that vid, good to see. Wonder how many else are like that in the squad?

Chelsea v Arsenal (PL) 20/1/13 KO 13:30 GMT
1-3 Arsenal, do not expect much from us with Roman pulling one way, the fans another, the players being world beaters one game and relegation fodder the next etc.

To be honest I expected this, and while things remain as they are I will continue to not expect good things from the team. When you think about it everything from above Cech is flawed. Ash has been brilliant for us, but his form has dropped dramatically since the club made their position clear on his contract. He likely feels let down and out of touch with the club. Our captain has gone through the ringer yet again, but this time with injuries to boot. I doubt his head is in the right space to guide us as he has done so for us, especially when he cannot play. Cahill and Branas form, defensively, has been poor, Cesar has been arguably our most consistent defender but he is still adapting to our league. Frank is in the same boat as Ash, worse for me as he is a bigger icon and legend at the Bridge, all the while now desperately trying to chase the record. Ramires has been so poor this season it is an amazing turn around from last year. It honestly makes me think of Flo Mo. That period of what, 18 months, where he was brilliant and then became so average. Mikel has been Mikel, a decent player where we need a great player. Hazard and Oscar have shown quality in patches but this is their first season on the Premier League, the demands will be nothing like they have faced before, and the later has been carp since Rafa came in. What Rafa did for Moses, who along with Cesar has been the only bright points of Rafa's teams, he has taken from Oscar. Mata has been overworked. Torres is still past it. Ba cannot do everything with no decent striker to rotate with him. Add to that sacking the man that won the CL, appointing a man the fans hate and the toxic atmosphere that has enveloped the club, how can we expect different than what is going on? Enjoy the Euorpa, it may be the last we see of Europe until 2014...or later if Rafa remains.

Guardiola confirmed as Bayern Manager
Cannot see Roman swallowing his pride and bringing back Jose. Looks like Rafa will get to stay unless we fail to make the top 4 imo.
-
Guardiola confirmed as Bayern Manager
Only seen denials from Bayern that they are after Pep, where have you seen officially that he has signed a deal with them?
-
Guardiola wants Chelsea job ...
Oh Roman if this is true what will you do now?
-
iago aspas
Why sign and loan back? We need another option up front now for the Europa.

Lukaku - Play or Loan?
If those were his comments they are not very smart, and surprising given he is a Chelsea fan. But if last season soured him on the club then it is a real shame. Maybe his comments are ones of someone that does not see a future for himself at the Bridge.
