Posted March 28, 201312 yr The dailies are agog with the news that Juventus is set to offload Arturo Vidal in the summer for the right price around 30 million dollars. It is been reported that the Juve Management considers Paul Pogba to be a ready-made replacement for him and thus are open for a sale of one of the best CM / B-2-B players in Serie A. Our problem in finding the right replacement for Lampard or better still Essien in the midfield is well documented and i believe that Vidal would be a very good choice for the role if Juventus are really stupid enough to let him go. Also to be noted is the fact that Vidal's agent also manages Sanchez of Barca. Personally i would prefer if we can ditch buying Falcao or Cavani and buying the two players together. Sanchez offers directness and can play almost anywhere in the front. Imagine a Vidal/Oscar partnership in the pivot infront of a Hazard/Mata/Sanchez attacking trio, any striker be it Torres, Lukaku, Ba etc should be able to deliver the goods....
March 28, 201312 yr I think he's quality. Unt must be gutted they let Pogba go though, he's the sort of player they have needed for years.
March 28, 201312 yr I really rate both him and Marchisio, but I don't see Juve letting either go, not for a small sum in any case.
March 28, 201312 yr f**k that why spend a fortune when we have great youngsters tearing it up on loan bring them back and stop wasting money
March 28, 201312 yr No no no no no, this is ridiculous. Vidal showed his quality on Germany, but we evidently didn't think he was worth £8m. Now we're going to spend nearly 4 times that amount, despite the fact that Vidal hasn't proven anything in Italy that we didn't already know about him? Bad business, if true. March 28, 201312 yr I'd actually like Vidal to come, but definetly not for 30M, that is way too much. 12-14M would be okay. Definite no to Sanchez, sorry for the language but that pussy wouldn't survive in the premier league.

Bad business yes, but we'd be foolish to let him slip through our fingers twice. Quality player. Good at both ends, as we saw first hand. Sub 30M and i'm happy.

March 28, 201312 yr Another player like Reus who we should have bought before they left their last club. He's brilliant, can play anywhere, a real successor to Essien if we bought him But this is all bollocks he is an unbelievable player and Juve won't be letting him go anytime soon.
March 28, 201312 yr Don't think Juventus are stupid enough to let him go. Unlike what the media think, Juve aren't the selling club they were a couple of seasons ago. They're always in the running to sign big players recently, moved into a new stadium , have a very (I reiterate, very) strong squad only lacking a top, top striker, and are in a sound place compared to what they were in recent years. Can't see them selling the anchor man of their midfield, Conte seems to be a shrewd guy, but isn't stupid. Pogba's a very good player with reams of potential but he's too young to fill the void if Vidal leaves. Also bollocks to the notion of bringing Alexis Sanchez here to Chelsea. The lads a brat, a compulsive cheat, vastly overrated and if you took him out of that group of Barcelona players, he would be found out to be an ordinary player who'd find it very easy to become anonymous when the going gets tough. In fact he does it regularly, even in that Barca team. Would be a horrible fit at Chelsea, not a f**king chance.
March 28, 201312 yr Gotta be one of the top 3 deep lying midfielders in the world right now, and someone who actually plays that role, unlike KDB, Oscar or Fellaini. Would be a good signing but 30m does seem quite steep.
March 29, 201312 yr Bad business yes, but we'd be foolish to let him slip through our fingers twice. Quality player. Good at both ends, as we saw first hand. Sub 30M and i'm happy. A reasonable perspective, although I'd personally rather find the next midfield bargain rather than chase one we missed. There's no question that Vidal is more appealing than the other big money guys we've been linked to, though.
March 29, 201312 yr Nathaniel Chalobah, that's pretty much all I have to say on this matter. I agree, Chalobah and more recently Feruz are my favorite youth players at the club right now, but he's 18 atm. I know that in these days players get put into the 1st team at a very young age but I wish we didn't do the same mistake Liverpool did with Owen, I think there's still a good 3-4 years until he will be a regular starter and we need someone until then.

You think, with Arsenal sniffing around, he would be prepared to wait around 3-4 years to break into the first team? I agree he needs to be managed at that age, but would would be really happy if instead of spending a fortune on a player we perhaps gave him a go. Its one of the few positions in the team that we need a player & have one potentially ready to step up.
March 29, 201312 yr f**k that why spend a fortune when we have great youngsters tearing it up on loan bring them back and stop wasting money What are you talking about? We need to buy world class players in every single position RIGHT NOW!!!! This summer, I think we should buy: Hummels, Pique, Coentrao, Lahm, Toure, Fellaini, Busquets, Schurrle, Falcao, Cavani, Messi. Send the youngsters out on another loan or two, they aren't ready. I don't think the mistake Liverpool made with Owen was playing him too young, it was the way they dealt with his injuries which broke him (same as a certain Fernando Torres). Young players who are ready for the PL SHOULD be placed in our team, they will learn faster and it will help them fulfil their potential. Look at Wilshere, broke into the Arsenal first team at 19 and has done fantastically as a result. Shame about his injuries. Once upon a time, McEachran was rated in the same bracket as him, look at what happened there...
March 29, 201312 yr A reasonable perspective, although I'd personally rather find the next midfield bargain rather than chase one we missed. There's no question that Vidal is more appealing than the other big money guys we've been linked to, though. Sure, although I think that next midfield bargain is already in the youth squad. If Chalobah is as good as people are claiming then I have no bother looking at him, but there is no doubting Vidal's quality. What are you talking about? April 3, 201312 yr A Juve player being talked about on here and linked by some of us to Chelsea? Where is the Moos?
April 3, 201312 yr Where is the Moos? Banned. I've always disliked Vidal for his thuggish behavior even though he is an excellent player. Yesterday's match against Bayern tells you everything you need to know about Vidal. I'd have a hard time supporting someone like him in a Chelsea shirt and hope that he stays as far away from our club as possible.
