I've had a serious case of the nervous sh*ts today! Obviously I won't go into too much detail for the women on the forum but let's just say if I had a nickle for every sh*t I've had today, I'd probably have about 8 nickles.

I just had an exam this morning and at the end of it was a semi-essay question that I had no idea about. Instead of attempting the question I decided in the last 20 minutes to write an in-depth analysis of the champions league final and why Chelsea would win. If a Chelsea fan marks it I may get some extra marks! I'm f**ked if a scouser marks it though ....

There are reports coming out of Italy and on Twitter that it is a done deal and that they are just waiting until the end of the Champions league final to announce it. Not happy.

Something I would like to see in the final, yet something I doubt will happen and further doubt that people will agree with me on is Bertrand playing on the left of midfield. I know he is young, less experienced, out of position, yada yada yada. But here is why I would like to see it: - He hasn't had a bad game this season (IMO) - He is naturally a defender and so will by extremely effective in helping to deal with Robben and the general attacking threat of Bayern. - He is also pacey and deceptively strong on the ball making him ideal for counter attacks. - Like Ashley he provides a real attacking threat a good final ball. - Playing him on the left allows us to play Mata in that central role where he is most useful, which further would stop Ashley from being exposed at the back. - Finally and significantly: we would not be forced to play Kalou or Malouda (some may want them in the team but personally I cringe when I see them on the team sheet) I thought I would move this discussion from "General chat" to the appropriate thread.

I would absolutely HATE it if AVB went to Liverpool and came back to the Bridge and beat us, or knocked us out of one of the cups. I have this horrible feeling he will come back and show us up at some stage of his career.

I imagine Neymar would be incredibly expensive. I know very little of him other than his reputation so can't really say whether it would be worth it or not. I'm sure someone will get him this summer though.

I think it is just a ploy by the agent for them to offer him a new contract with higher wages (even though his wages now are ridiculous). He claims that Yaya has achieved everything he can with City which just isn't true so I can't see him leaving for that reason. Even if there was truth in this, I don't see how we could afford his wages. This could never happen.

I think there is a good chance he would turn out to be our best player.

I don't think anyone rates him/labels at 80 million, not even Porto. It's just something that is put in his contract to scare of other clubs and if it ever came to the stage we're at, to make sure they get a little more money for him. What I mean is just because there is an £80 million buy-out clause, that doesn't mean that is his "value". I would personally value him at about £25 mill, but Chelsea being Chelsea, we'll probably pay around £35 mill. To be honest I would forget about that clause as it has nothing to do with how good he is or really how much we would end up paying for him. I would be surprised if anything like the ball hitting a team mate's arse or something similar would have happened more than once, and that amount of assists is impressive considering there are 8 less league games in Portugal. His natural position is as an out and out winger as you call it and he does have a good final ball. He brings pace and width. His capability of playing in the middle is just a bonus, and I doubt he would play there at any point next season should we sign him.

His English is poor. That fact alone makes it a "no" for me. He'd probably want to sign Heskey too.

Can we stop saying he will be a flop because he has come from the Portuguese league? Think of all the players that have come from there and done well. Just from Chelsea: Ramires, Luiz, Carvalho, Ferreira, Bosingwa. Other players from there like Ronaldo, Pepe, Deco (when he was at Barca) Falcao (who scored something 27 league goals and 17 goals in Europa over 14 games) etc etc etc! I like Sturridge and think he has a future at Chelsea-> Hulk is better in pretty much every aspect other than age. I would be extremely excited about this. For me the only real issue is whether signing him will be worth the money we will have to pay. Not his talent as a footballer.
