Chelsea Goal of the season vote opened
I reckon you gotta take that stuff into consideration. If a situation desperately requires that vital goal then there is a tonne more pressure on the shot taker which I reckon makes the goal even more impressive. That's the reason I went for Ramires when there were 3 or 4 goals with barely anything technically to separate them.

Ha, so true.

That was a great watch. It's got to be Rami surely? Goals of similar quality in there but the importance of that one and when it was scored. To even try the chip in that situation as well! He's got my vote

Give credit to Meireles!
It was heartbreaking to see him pleading with the ref at the end not to book him. I felt so sorry for him. 180 minutes of the toughest football of his life and right at the end this inexperienced and harsh referee rewards him by ruling him out of what should have been the biggest night of his career. The ref refused to acknowledge common sense and booked him for a challenge that had the slightest of contact and impact on the game, and which now has the most devastating of consequences for the poor guy. Furthermore he had barely committed a foul all night. Thanks Cuneyt Cakir! (just kidding, you're a twat, and your name is ridiculous)

Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
Also so happy that Bayern got through, not just because it may be a little easier for Chelsea, but to silence those who gave little credit to the possibility of a Bayern vs Chelsea final

Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST
Surely we will be the underdogs for this, and I for one couldn't be happier about this as we seem to thrive under this title. Think back through the knock-out stages of this competition, whenever we have been underdogs we have pulled great performances out of the bag (with possibly the exception of Napoli away, not sure who the favourites would have been + that was AVB era) but when in the drivers seat we have struggled to deliver. Napoli Home: underdogs + quality performance. Benfica Away: underdogs probably due to our form and their home record + quality performace Benfica Home: clearly favourites - Lacklustre performance Barca Home and Away: obviously underdogs - we all know what happened Using this logic, I am expecting a huge effort in Germany!

Terry red card saves our season
Is that so? I think you get a medal as long as you have made at least one appearance (could be wrong), but I had no idea Terry wouldn't even be allowed on the pitch or podium!

Chelsea vs QPR (PL) 29/04/12 KO: 13:30 BST
Lets take this match seriously, we cannot forget about a top four finish despite FA cup and CL success. We must also appreciate their form although I still think we can play a weakened team and thump them! Cech Defense depends a lot on who is fit...... but JT and Bertrand are two who should definitely play. We must not risk DL or GC if not 100% is the main thing. Romeu, Ramires Mata Sturridge, Torres, Kalou

MOTM vs Barca
The toughest choice of MOTM ever, but I've gone for Frank. Not much to choose between the likes of him, Cech, Drogba, Ramires (hell, all of them) but the way in which he lead by example and put Fabregas in his place did it for me. lets not forget his two sublime passes in each leg which created 2 of our 3 goals too.

Barcelona v Chelsea (CL SF 2nd Leg) 24/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
People on twitter are saying it's a 3-3-3-1! I dunno though, looks more like a 3-3-4! Either way (or something else) 3 at the back leaves them open to the break.

Barcelona v Chelsea (CL SF 2nd Leg) 24/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
I really think that playing Torres would be a mistake, he may work hard, but the wing is not his position and he and Drogba have never really been effective when played together. However, the suggestioin of Bertrand playing ahead of Cole is a good one. We could play Ramires on the right again, and Bertrand would have enough pace and work rate to deal with Alves. --------------------------------------------------------------Cech----------------------------------------------------------------- Ivan ------------------------Cahill ------------------------------------------------Terry -----------------------------------Cole Ramires--------------------Lampard---------------------Mikel-----------------Meireles -------------------------------Bertrand --------------------------------------------------------------El Drogo------------------------------------------------------------- A 4-5-1, which tbh is pretty much what we played in the 1st leg, would allow us to keep a disciplined defence, especially with the pace and work rate of Rami and Bertrand on the wings. At the same time we would have the capability to break on the counter attack. I don't think I have ever named Meireles in a team selection before but I'm sad to say that Essien is just poor and Romeu is coming back from injury still and doesn't have full match fitness.

Revenge...- Is the FA cup really worth anything today?
of course it is.- PFA Player of the year Nominations
The cut off age is starting the season at 23 or younger.- PFA Player of the year Nominations
I was personally very disappointed (as always) with the nominations for PFA player and young player of the year. Nominations for PFA Player of the Year:- S. Aguero R. van Persie, W. Rooney, J. Hart, S. Parker, D. Silva Nominations for PFA Young Player of the Year 2012:- S. Aguero, G. Bale, K. Walker, A Oxlade-Chamberlain, D. Sturridge, D. Welbeck Some very obvious names left out for player of the year: Krul, Dempsey, Ba, Mata, Kompany, Ivanovic. Only Van Persie and maybe Rooney deserves their places there. Everyone on the list has obviously performed well, but I think Mata has outdone Silva, Krul has outdone Heart, Ba has outdone Aguero, Parker shouldn't be there before Dempsey, and no defenders at all. There are probably names I'm forgetting but this is just off the top of my head. Furthermore, how is it that Mata has been beaten to young player of the year by all of those last four individuals. I'm happy to see a Chelsea player on the list but how has Sturridge had a better season than Mata??? And Welbeck? Don't make me laugh. Van Persie for player of the year. Aguero for young player. - Chelsea v Barcelona (CL SF 1st Leg) 18/04/12 KO 19:45 BST
