  1. Agree with Reece James. Always felt Chilwell's been massively overated by our supporters due to being injured a lot and at the same time as Reece and Kante so people grouped him in with those two as injured world class players despite Ben never being near that level
  2. Possibly? It's the worst since 79. It wouldn't give any of our other PL squads a competitive game.
  3. I'd be happy to move on the whole squad in January. Not sure many of the new lads we've signed wouldn't have been released from Cobham if they were here a few years earlier.
  4. Worst since the 80s I don't think people realise just how untalented our young players are and are still pretending they've got potential. Most the squad aren't good enough to play for Bournemouth but their ceiling is that level.
  5. We didn't have only 5 wins in a year when Mudryk signed for us. The main reason we've got so few wins this year is because we filled our team with so many poor quality untalented young players like Mudryk.
  6. Save the Children
  7. Can't disagree with that. We've signed so many poor young players you can't even say we have a lot of potential but because we've paid 5x their value people think they're top prospects. Can't fault Poch as he didn't want all these duds he asked for experienced players multiple times before pre season and the board didn't even attempt to deliver them.
  8. While there are some on this forum that don't think signing good players is possible with £1B i still can't believe we bought so many untalented young players. We don't even have many prospects you'd think can reach the top level. Maybe Paez who's 15? I liked Santos but he can't get in the Forrest squad. We've brought in so few genuinely talented young players we've got a squad full of players that if they reach their potential might be good enough to play for Brentford or Everton but right now aren't at that level. Not a surprise we're doing so badly with the squad we have but it's amazing we spent so much on about £150m worth of talent. We will most likely stay up but we don't have the talent to consistently win games so every game is a battle and I'm not sure we've got the battlers in the squad. relegation was a prospect last season, this season and will be next season and the season after without serious squad reforms.
  9. Then he's even dumber than he comes across as on the pitch as yellow cards no longer count in cup matches. He'll miss the league game against Fulham. On another note I think people are being very dishonest when they list all our old players as not good enough and say who wouldn't you have sold. Yes players like Werner and Mount probably weren't good enough to ever win a title here and people love to point that out like it justifies our business. But players like Mudryk and Madueke don't have the potential to ever be good enough to win titles. They don't have the potential to be as good as Werner or Mount so it was a mistake selling them because they currently walk into our team. We haven't sold any world class players but we've replaced them with less talented players and results and performances reflect that.
  10. Personally I don't consider Silva an experienced player for the same reason Azpi, Koulibaly and Auba weren't last season. They're just too old they've passed the point of experience and are just in physical decline. They can be useful in moments but you can't go into the season depending on them week after week. When I say experienced I'm talking about players in their physical primes between 24 and 30 who have had multiple good seasons under their belts that's the sweet spot and we don't have many players there. Sterling, Chilwell, Sanchez? Not really anyone else there. Reece and Nkunku are the only two injured. I don't have high hopes for the young players but it isn't about them being duds we've just signed way too many and need to cut some of them out to build a competitive squad. Imagine that instead of having Madueke, Chukuwmeka, Mudryk, Broja, Jackson and Palmer you replaced 2 of them with experienced quality (Toney?) (Raphina? Maddison?) and had the others developing alongside of them. Sticking Silva with a bunch of kids may balance out the average age but it doesn't give us a good balance.
  11. Why is it always the thick as sh*t tossers that are the most vocal defenders of the current ownerships "strategy"? I don't think we should limit ourselves to younger players there was a lot of talent we could have signed over 25 but signing proven quality players isn't unrealistic. It's what every successful club actually does. I got to say I work in Finance actually for a very reputable company and if I pitched the idea of sacking almost the entire workforce and spending our annual budget on hiring every graduate in the country on long term contracts because we can train them all to be perfect Unicorn level workers in a couple years they'd look at me like most people probably look at you!
  12. In fairness most of the terrible young players we've signed never knew how to play. I get Sterling not being at his best but Jackson, Broja, Madueke, Mudryk and Palmer have never shown consistent quality or the ability to get goals. It isn't players forgetting to play we've bought a lot of players that can't play and have never been goal scorers and we're hoping they'll learn but that's all it is Pure hope.
  13. I've read a few of your posts and i honestly can't tell if you're actually that much of an idiot or if you're some strange Bohely supporting parody account. But just incase it is the former you really should be aware there are very very few things that can't be financed in football with one billion pounds. Signing a few proven quality players definitely isn't one of them. Even most clubs in the Saudi league have better players than us and it didn't cost them billions.
  14. Ironically the only opportunity Poch has of surviving the season is convincing the owners that their project is as moronic as every person involved in football sees it, shipping out 6 or 7 of the young players we've just signed in January and supplementing the rest of the child army with 4 or 5 quality experienced professionals. No manager can get results with the dog sh*t squad of poor youth talents we've assembled, the owners will have massive expectations because of the amount they've spent but they've spent it so poorly they haven't given the manager a chance.
  15. Could be a giant killing on the table. But I don't think our squad has enough quality to pull it off.
  16. Not sure it requires much inside knowledge, i think you could have asked anyone to name 100 top young players this time last season and even if you didn't get get 100 names off all of em you definitely wouldn't have gotten Jackson, Mudryk, Madueke or any of the other bums we've signed. For me a young player is under 25 Top under 25 players I'd have expected to have been linked with if we're spending a billion are players like Leao, Wirtz, Gavi, Pedri, Musiala, Napoli winger who's name I can't spell with a K, Oshenheim, Martinelli, Saliba, Camavinga, Saka, Haaland, Mbappe, Vinicus, Rodrygo, Tonali, Bellingham, Tchoumeni, Lautoro Martinez, Valerde, Bastoni, Ousmane Dembele, Muani, Vlahovic etc Quality young players that have performed at the highest level and have sky high ceilings. Could probably Google twice as many and think oh yeah. Him They're top young players and yeah they're not all obtainable and most are already at top clubs but if you say we're spending a billion on young talents I expect some top young talents even if we have to pay through the nose. Not us signing a guy who was considered one of the worst players in La Liga last season till the last month, a guy with a handful of goals in 4 years in Ukranine and a injury prone guy that was struggling in a average Dutch league team. We spent top young talent money and got a bunch of prospects that would be squad players at Bournmouth.
  17. Had a good discussion in the pub with some mates last week about it. Out of 10 us 8 of us would love to have the Glazers instead of Todd. Even the two that didn't said it's because he's got good intentions not because he's actually done anything good. Said it's better to have a parasite than a fool who runs around making things worse. If Boehly had bought United in the early 2000s he'd have Sacked Sir Alex for someone like Mark Hughes and Sold Ronaldo and Rooney to domestic rivals so be could buy Carlton Cole, Dean Ashton and 15 Brazilian kids no one would remember now. An absolute group of moronic tossers our ownership group are they've guaranteed the clubs failure.
  18. I said 10th to 13th before the season started with the low quality of our squad. But mentally changed it to 15th when we played West Ham. It wasn't even about the game or the result but the team sheet. West Ham have Antonio, Bowen, Paqueta and Benrahma as a front 4 and I realised at best we have 1 fit attacking player that you could argue even gets a game for West Ham. Similar again today with Villa and you look at Watkins and Diaby and even on paper they're tiers above our players. The reality is a lot of midtable teams have better quality than us all over the pitch and I don't think our team of untalented 19 year olds are mentally equipped for a low quality battling they'll have to do for almost every result.
  19. It was clear in the summer the result of our strategy. It's going to end the same way it did when the last 7500 clubs tried it though they all spent much less money and generally did it because they couldn't afford actual quality. When you only buy young players you will always have a bad team because young players are inconsistent and so few develop into quality. The few that develop into quality will push their way out to big and serious clubs with competitive teams because they won't want to continue struggling with the young players that haven't made it. The Delusion that clubs can buy a whole squad of young players and develop them into a competitive squad is absolutely hilarious. It hurts because we got stuck with the morons who actually did it but it's still hilarious someone tried it.
  20. I don't know why people are surprised. We knew this in the summer with the players we brought in. I get people get caught up I'm transfer muppetry but while other clubs were strengthening we were buying kids and low ceiling young players and deluding ourselves into thinking we were improving the squad spending £25+ million a piece of players that wouldn't start for Everton. If you buy a bunch of poor players you get poor results, just because those players are under 23 doesn't mean you can wait 5 years and they'll be Peps Barca.
  21. Ironic. Given just how highly unlikely it is that players as poor and untalented as Jackson, Madueke, Mudryk etc will ever develop into top 4 calibre players. The odds really aren't in the clubs favour. Buying a bunch of crap and struggling young attackers and thinking they have a decent chance of developing into top players is genuinely the most moronic and foolish transfer strategy I can recall any football club ever attempting it's so bad I just wish Arsenal or Spurs had attempted it because I wouldn't be able to stop laughing.
  22. I guarantee you not one young player Bohely has signed will be at the club will be here the next time we finish in the top 4. Not only are we a long way from potential competing most of the young players don't have the talent to ever develop into options for a top half side.
  23. On the owners and the crap squad not necessarily Poch. Think most people can see we don't have the squad on paper to compete with teams like Villa over the season.
  24. You're aware Poch literally said those things in his press conferences right?
  25. I'd love for us to be bought by the Glazers or Levy this week. I'm really at the point where it is anyone but Boehly he's the worst owner in the sports history it's unprecedented how a club can spend so much money and go into most games expecting to lose and having a weaker squad than the opposition on paper because they just didn't sign any actual talent with the money. You could give Dag and Red £200m in January and they'd finish the window with a better squad than what we've got.
