Unless you have an absurd idea that we are going to offer him a 1 year deal in 3 years time when his current contract comes to an end and that would be a good thing as we would be stuck with him for only 4 more years? Well, right now we have lost the spine of our team. We previously had Terry, Lamps and Drogba. Right now we don't have anyone until Terry returns. I have no idea how much this would cost but we need a new DM and CF badly.

Yep, absolutely zero mobility. None. Both labored and slow. Looking forward to getting KDB in there next season if I am honest. Been looking great over in Germany. But I am really concerned about our DM choices of Mikel and Romeu. We only really need 2 players, a world class DM and world class striker and we are sorted for many a year.

Sure the wage bill will affect decisions. Lampard and Malouda's combined wage is probably over £200K per week. Nearly a £1m a month. £12 million over the course of a year?? Well, we really need 2 quality players, internationals in each position and would could have.. Hazard/Marin Oscar/Willian Mata/Moses Sure we could use Ramires out wide but that is just a waste when we can play him in his correct position where we all know we are short already. Same applies to Sturridge, we only have 2 strikers. Piazon is at least a year or two away from being a first team regular too. However, the Moo's. I do agree that if we need to strengthen anywhere it should be up a striker and after that a DM. Just can't let someone like the spuds take that sort of quality easily when we can make space.
