Even now, thinking about that United game pisses me off, and the thought that United and Baconface are probably going to win another EPL title this year because of it, f**k sake.

Depends if they invest elsewhere, they may have a great strikeforce but they won't play more than 2 (3 max) at a time, and nearly every other position on the field is weak.

Quality statistics, if he keeps this up he is more than deserving of picking up the EPL player of the year come the end of the season, although knowing football it will probably go to a United player.

I get the feeling he is there because he's too much of a liability to play as a centre defender, but our squad is too thin and the manager doesn't want to upset him by dropping him.

The 3-2 loss to United hurt more than any of those, just because of the injustice of it all. Also it's pretty much ruined our entire season.

This time last season we were in a far worse position and it ended up being the greatest season ever, we're still 3rd in the league and not too far off 2nd, we've got a good chance of winning the League Cup, we got a good Europa draw and the FA Cup is still there for us. We've finally got a new striker coming in that should boost us significantly, I think it's way way too early to be writing this season off yet.

Maybe if Roman offered to pay his 16 million p/a wages

yeah mate clearly no-one here is gonna be happy about today, but what i'm saying is that with an actual striker it's going to get far better. As for QPR, they won't have many bragging rights when they're back in the Championship next year.

Probably won't be a popular opinion, but really we do need to learn how to win without Mata eventually, and results like this will happen until we do.

Roman and Rafa watch the same matches we do, I see the Ba signing and all the rumors of Falcao coming as signs that they've run out of patience with him, if Ba scores a few goals and plays well when given the chance, I can't see us dropping him for no reason. Balls in his court IMO.

Oscar was the only one making things happen up the field until Mata came on, and Cahill defended well for the most part. Would have to be between one of those two, I guess i'd go for Oscar.

Comparing this to Moscow, Ovrebo or Clattenburg is a bit OTT, realistically we weren't going to win the title this year anyway and I doubt this result will change much come the end of the season, although yeah it is very disappointing to lose to such a miserable pack of twats.

I know we'll all probably be feeling pretty sh*te right now, but look at the bright side. For the past 2 years, for the majority of our matches we've had to play with 10 men due to an incompetent striker that only continues to receive any game time at all because of his price tag. But today was the last day that he will be our only striking option, for starting from this weekend, the EPL's 2nd highest goalscorer will be joining our ranks. The only way is up from here, I don't know about you all but i've nearly forgotten what it's like to play with a striker in our team. Bring on Demba Ba.

Why the hell would Luiz take that corner short and quickly, when QPR have conceded more goals from set pieces than any other team...
