Do any of you worry what would happen in the future without Abramovich's ownership?
So we would become Liverpool?

Gave me a good laugh, whether it's his finishing or his statements to the press, he's always good for a chuckle.

Chelsea goals/stats 2012/13 season
Mata 18 assists and Hazard 17 assists already? Thats insane! Silva only had 21 last season in all competitions, Mata had 22 last season in all competitions, and it's only early January and they've nearly topped that.

Taison in at Chelsea
I think the problem is not so much that we don't think he's good enough, its more that we don't need yet another player in that position when we already have so many + young ones coming through. A striker, a deep lying midfielder or a left back, and sure.

ESPN FC reports Lampard's out
Probably a difference between the older fans and younger fans between who they would least want to see him play for, but as a 20 year old United are definitely around the least bearable of the sides I could see him move to.

If we were offered either Ronaldo or Messi, not taking into account that Ronaldo is a few years older, I would most definitely take Ronaldo. Messi is made to look a lot better than he is by his teammates, many of whom he grew up playing with from when he was a young teenager, and he's yet to prove himself away from the safety of Xavi and Iniesta. Ronaldo has shown he can play with numerous different teams and teammates.

Who else is fed up of hearing how Chelsea were lucky in the Champs League?
After the amount of bad luck we've had with ghost goals, ovrebo, and slipping on the decisive penalty, i'd say we were more than overdue. And no-one wins the CL without luck, show me the last team to win the CL with bad luck.

José Mourinho Confirmed as Chelsea Manager!
The day I boot up my laptop, open up these forums, and see a thread titled "The Return of the Special One", will be a moment of ecstasy comparable only to that night in Munich.

ESPN FC reports Lampard's out
Judging by his celebration after the goal against Southampton, he enjoys being a legend of the club and a hero to the fans too much to join United, a large portion of the fans would lose respect for him if he went there and I don't think he'd consider that worth it just to become a bit part player in scumchester.

It would be very interesting to see what happens if we do get Pep and we do badly. I wonder if he'll extend him more patience than any of our previous managers, I mean this has all led up to him, so if he sacked Pep who else could he really get that he would want more? This managerial circus will probably go on until we get him, then he'll be given a few years time to do his thing.

He doesn't even look Spanish, but fat waiter just doesn't sound right syllable-wise, gotta find another 2 syllable word to plug the gap with..

Ballon d'OR
Yeah because their international performances are pretty comparable when Buffon had Chiellini, Bonucci and Barzagli in front of him, and Cech had Sivok and Kadlec.

What have Caballero and Neuer done this year to warrant being ahead of Cech? Neuer lost to Cech in a penalty shoot out, only being able to save Mata's which was hit right at him, and did not even come close to any of the others. He was also beaten by virtually our only good chance of the entire game, from a corner which I believe Cech may have been able to save. Cech went the right way for every single penalty in that shootout, and saved Robben's, and made countless top class vital saves across the 3 games against Bayern & Barca, not to mention his fantastic save in the FA Cup final which ended up proving decisive. Bayern didn't win 1 competition this year, in fact they were beaten in 2 finals, and he did nothing spectacular with the German side at the Euros either. Caballero plays for a mediocre Spanish side that came 4th in an inferior league to the EPL and won nothing, and he can't even get into the Argentine side. As for Buffon, he may have gone undefeated in a Juventus side in a continually declining Italian league, but he also let 4 goals in in the Euro 2012 final, the worst result of any Euro final ever, so he should not have been considered for this. At the end of the day, Cech won a CL and an FA Cup, Casillas won Liga and the Euros. Would Spain have won the Euros without Casillas? I'm fairly sure they would, he barely had anything to do all tournament because their squad is so superior to everyone else. This isn't to say that Buffon, Casillas and Neuer aren't all keepers of the highest caliber, it's just sad to see such a great goalkeeper as Cech, who without whom we would have won absolutely nothing last season, continues to be ignored because a) He plays in England not Spain and b) Because he's Czech and not from a major footballing superpower. If he were Spanish and Casillas were Czech, I guarantee he would have won this award, unfortunately he'll continue to be underrated by the wider footballing community. However I don't like to see him underrated by his own fans.

Michu
I think after just picking up Ba this wouldn't be the right choice, unless we somehow offloaded Torres. We have 2 first team strikers, add Lukaku to that next season, and presumably we're going to be trying to buy a big name striker in the summer, be it Falcao or Cavani or Higuan, it seems likely it will be someone. Having Michu as well would be too many for me, unless we're not planning to get any more.

ESPN FC reports Lampard's out
How could his age be resolved? I very much doubt he could become younger. The reason is more than likely just because they want to fill his place with younger more exciting players, I don't buy into the AVB conspiracy theories.
- Not a bad trophy cabinet

César 'Dave' Azpilicueta
Cahill has been better than Iva for me this season, but we're spoilt for choice with the 3 of them (JT/Cahill/Iva), they're all wonderful.

Beñat Etxebarria
So what are we going to call him? Phil?

I wonder if Roman is eventually captured and imprisoned in Russia on those corruption charges, if they'll seize all his assets and the club effectively becomes property of the Russian government. WHAT THEN

Disgusting, I feel bad for the top players that have missed out because of this ridiculous bias. --------------Cech Lahm-Hummels-Chiellini-Cole -------Xavi--Pirlo--Iniesta ----Messi--Falcao--Ronaldo

Football Manager 2012
Did anyone else find this game a bit too easy? Started off with Chelsea, won virtually everything in my first season while only signing Fellaini, started a new game with York City, easily got consecutive promotions by buying some good youngsters, and ended up getting bored and uninstalling it.

Would you play Ba and Torres play together?
I saw the Villa game and the United game, and the match in pre-season game against PSG where he also played very well, and I believe he won our young player of the year award. I say Piazon should be in ahead of Torres (which of course won't happen) because correct me if i'm wrong, but Torres has never popped up in the late stages of the game with a winning goal, not once in his entire Chelsea career? It seems unfair to dismiss someone with so much talent because he's unproven over someone who has proven to be a failure.
