Actually, he's like a combination of Barcelona-era Deco and Andrea Pirlo - he dictates the tempo from the centre of midfield while spraying passes to players who are higher up the pitch. Like Pirlo, he is also good at playing long-balls to start counterattacks. However, he lacks the tricks that Deco had while he's obviously not on Pirlo's level. 

 

However, we could certainly do worse if we wanted a central playmaker (we probably should want one) - he's one of the best players for Real Betis if not the best.
