A really big problem was insistence of playing people like paul green and kieth andrews over players like darren gibson and james mcarthy .Fans were crying out for him to play james Mclean and seamus Coleman who were obvious upgrades on what we had but he seemed almost reluctant because the fans wanted them to play . Also going into games against teams like Austria who in fairness are probably better and Sweden (better by a Zlatan) basically content with a draw in landsdowne road was pretty shocking and stopped working when shay given retired .The real point of no return was llosing by our biggest margin ever in Ireland to Germany 6-1 where he really gave up with twenty minutes left and they scored 3 goals . In fairness there was a lot of unrealistic expectation on him because of his success in qualifying for the EURO's .Our performances there however were really really bad not the results the performances

While its true that not too many irish like the english no one supports the IRA in the republic .While there is good feeling towards their history (war of independence) at this point there just a drug dealing scummy gang of thugs. The only reason they have any support is there leaders from the war of independence such as micheal collins were affiliated with the old version

Agree with this but how many people can actually stop think and say that they didn't do the bolded bit when it came to jaycee. I don't agree with him I just think the greeting we've afforded him was disgraceful. Banter is one thing abuse is another and there's no need for it at all
