Seems to be doing quite well in Germany, played about 20 odd games last year and seems to be getting games this year as well.

Perhaps it would be worth tkaing a longer look at him in the summer and seeing if he is ready to become part of the first team? Especially since JT is getting older and there are question marks over Luiz.

I would be very, very disappointed if we let him go. He is a class defender and should already be getting games with us.

Showed promise but never seemed to take his game up a level to push on.

 

A move back to Holland might be just what he needs to help progress his career, I wish him luck at PSV. 

Shame as I really rated him when he played for the Youth Team. I honestly could see him taking over from JT at that point. He always looked composed and strong and was the sort who would chip in with a fair few goals too.

In recent seasons our youth sides in general are producing some very good midfielders and attacking players but we have looked weak defensively and in the keeper area. The youth team tends to be guilty of very sloppy defending which was again borne out in the final against Norwich. Bruma looked to be the exception but I guess it again underlines what a massive step-up it is from youth level to senior.

Real shame this, one of the few who I honestly felt could go on to be a first teamer for us. It looks like we have added a buy back clause though so at least thats one thing.

Looks like it's up to Kalas to be our next CB through the academy then...
