Atletico have given no indication of unhappiness apart from the fact they can't afford the supposed fee, there has been nothing from them about Courtois really apart from that, UEFA are at fault here, not Atletico Madrid. Also, regardless that he is our player, he should be playing, its not a small fixture, and I would honestly feel that if we were to win vs Aranzubia (who is frankly terrible), it would somewhat cheapen beating Atleti.

Thats a risk the club took by sacking him though. Once he is out of contract, he should be sign with whoever he wants. The club should have gone after Juventus/Livorno from the start, instead of Mutu (who probably didn't make what we sued him for after leaving us) anyway as that it was lost the club any potential return on Mutu.

The club didn't have to sack him though, its like getting sacked from a job, getting a new job, then your ex employer suing you for a new job. It is a ridiculous situation.
