Some people are so fickle, 45 minutes and they've already decided Marin is a flop. If he scores a goal in the 2nd half, the same people will hail him as a hero.

We can't rely on Mata and only Mata, it's ridiuclous in a team of expensively assembled superstars, that we still rely on 1 player for all our creativity and spark. What happens if Mata gets injured? We can't just load all our problems onto his shoulders or he'll burn out, the team needs to learn how to play without him, the same way United/City can play and still win games without Rooney/Silva. I wouldn't change anything yet, Oscar needs to learn to step up and take the creative burden when Mata isn't there, and the more game time Marin has, the better he'll play, because right now he's trying a bit too hard to make an impression, like Sturridge was in his few appearances this season.

We need Mata playing in the middle, and Oscar has been quite ineffective out wide, which would mean putting him in a deeper position unless Mata is being rested. This may work against some teams, but against others we may need more defensive minded players.

I agree Mata should be rested, Moses and Mikel are off to ACON after this I believe, so both should start (provided Mikel is over his injury). I'd also give Frankie a rest, he had a big 90 minutes against Everton. Correct me if i'm wrong, but Frank hasn't made any sort of public demands regarding what he wants his contract to be? Right now it's just the board not willing to discuss any sort of extension with him? So people assuming he expects to be playing every game on a 4 year contract on the same wages are really just spouting bullsh*t?
