  1. Rooney won't get a retroactive red card because he plays for United and not Chelsea. The FA won't want to upset their darlings.
  2. As much as it pains me to say it... I think we're going to lose Juan Mata in the January window. As soon as he goes onto the market the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Manchester City are going to swoop and I mean swoop fast. When he goes I think he'll either head back to Spain or head to new territory like the Bundesliga. Dortmund or Bayern would take him in a pinch and I'd much rather they got his services. It'll be hard to accept when it happens but I think it's becoming increasingly obvious that it's going to happen.
  3. I wanted Spurs to lose to City but not like that... Ever go to a stand-up gig where the main act is bombing, and bombing horribly? Know that feeling you get when you just want the gig to end so you'll stop feeling so uncomfortable? That's how I felt watching that match.
  4. You know what's weird? Upton Park is in the process of a mass evacuation but I can't hear a difference in the home support's volume. Now that's funny.
  5. Okay, Jose is just trolling now. On comes the Bison.
  6. Oscar and Terry are both down. sh*t. Ba and Schurrle coming on.
  7. Should have been 3-0 there from Oscar, fantastic build-up play.
  8. Without him you're sh*t. Without him you're shiiiiiit. Andy Carrol!! Without him you're sh*t!
  9. I said right at the start of this thread that I'd laugh if the Germans fielded their B <> C team and still beat Englands "A" team. Many laughs were had tonight. Sad, sarcastic, and alcohol-fueled laughs... If we cannot even beat the reserve team the Germans have then we're seriously f**ked next year.
  10. I'd laugh if the Germans field their B Team and still beat us handsomely.
  11. Like Everton (I like how they can still do reasonably well in the league with peanuts for a budget) Southampton (They've usually been interesting to watch but this year I purposefully stay up to watch them on MOTD) Bayern Munich (Ruthless, cold, calculating, and incredibly strong. They also seem to struggle against us more often than not) Borussia Dortmund (Similar to Bayern but they have an utterly bonkers manager) Watford (I really want to see these guys get promoted this year, having both Zola and Jose at the Bridge would be incredibly epic) Dislike Tottenham (Some of the most unbearable fans in the league, hilariously deluded and bitterer than a pint of Guinness) Arsenal (I like Wenger's policy, well... until this year anyway, but again the problem lays with the fans) Manchester United (Fans are the living personification of the term "Glory Hunter", as plastic as they come) Side Note: I have a fun pass-time for Saturdays that we are not playing anyone. Put your dinner in the oven at 3:00pm and when #MoyesOut starts trending you know it's ready. Barcelona (Considerable beef between us and the Catalans, mostly been laid to rest but the memory of that night at the Bridge persists)
  12. I have a very good feeling about this one for some reason. Arsenal to drop three points against Southampton too.
  13. The thing that I think makes Schurrle stand out is that he really makes defenders brick themselves when he has possession near the box. Mata and Hazard are flashy and nimble but sometimes that isn't enough to give defenders something to think about, and that's what Schurrle provides. Oscar is a bit more physical now but Schurrle is by far the most imposing of our attacking midfielders, which is quite surprising since he's not very tall.
  14. Not expecting us to do much in the window other than maybe recall a few loanees.
  15. Also, speaking of Southampton... Guess who Arsenal have next in the league? That'll be a fascinating and pivotal game.
  16. Sunderland beat Manchester City Newcastle beat Tottenham Manchester United just beat Arsenal All of our title rivals dropped 3 points, pretty good day. United might gain a bit of impetus after that display... watch that space. They look like the dark horse of the season this year, surprisingly strong and mobile in midfield and attack. I doubt they'll be top four but I think that getting a Europa League place isn't too far-fetched for the Saints. I have no enmity towards them at all so I hope they continue to do good. Also, I think I like Southampton because I really like Matthew Le Tiss' as a pundit. He's probably the best former-player-pundit on Soccer Saturday besides Paul Merson.
  17. RAWK screaming for West Brom to be retro-actively given all three points. Cool, just give us the three points you robbed from us last season at the swamp and we'll talk.
  18. Lampard is a mere shadow of what he was last season, it's utterly painful to watch him at the moment. He must not start for the next few games.
  19. Agreed, that was never a penalty. We jammed the f**k out there.
