Exactly, i think this is the problem. I've been shocked on how much possession we've been trying to keep under mourinho. Even more than when benitez was here. Mourinho is playing something he isn't used to. Unless we get back to the counter attack that we played against bayern, we will struggle to score more than 1 goal per game.

Mourinho is a counter attacking manager, but he has been surprisingly trying out possession football with us this season. This is the reason why we have no identity so far. The player changes is done so that he can give everyone in the squad a fighting chance, then he can pick his starting 11 from here on.

From what i've noticed so far, Mourinho is surprisingly playing possession football (which he's not used to) instead of counter attacking football which he is a master at. The only match we played counter attacking was against bayern and thats the only match (except 30mins vs hull and 1st half vs everton) that we've played well. Mou should stick to a starting 11, build some chemistry, and play his normal fast counter attack football.

Double team for sure, we were fantastic in the league. We won all the top 4 teams home and away in the league.

Willian is the type of player hazard is, dribbles with speed and creates a huge amount of chances. His dribbling ability is at hazards level and he will provide another threat on the right wing so that teams cant double mark hazard anymore. He will prove a lot of doubters wrong this season

I think jose used this match to try different tactical variations. First half summary. In the first half, he tried the 4-3-3 but he used ramires, lamps and MVG. Ramires and lampard were lost on who was the more attacking player of the two so there was so much inbalance in the first half. Player analysis. Ramires lost a few balls and failed to continue following marcelo before he scored. But take nothing away from his sublime finish. Oscar was forced to play on the wings where we know he's not good, I'm sure mourinho has seen that too first hand. Ivanovic at right back was there to face the physicality of ronaldo so he didn't attack much because of that. But his passing was very bad, he and cahill reminded me of why we should not sell david luiz. Every single time they kicked the ball in the sky and couldn't pick out any pass longer than 6 yards shocking. A major reason we were horrible in the first half was because of this. Ashely cole was our best defender MVG was bad in the early minutes but he grew into the game with nice tackles. He was a little short attacking wise though. Lampard was bad, but mourinho wanted to speed up his match fitness in a high class friendly so that's that. Lukaku was bad with his runs, but he wasn't helped by the confusing midfield we tried to play. Hazard was invisible in the first half, but on closer look I thought they marked him very closely. Second half summary This was a much better half. We went back to the usual 4-2-3-1 formation. With moses and hazard in the wings and KDB in the center. We were pressing well and we became better than madrid till the 70th minute when KDB was moved to the pivot. But the goal ronaldo scored was their first chance in the half but ivanovic was found guilty of allowing isco too much room to cross as usual and JT didn't even attempt to jump for the ball. Ronaldo was too fast for any of the DM to follow him and he came from the wing to the center so the cross was actually what we failed to stop defensively Player anaysis Ivanovic was bad till he got into the center back position Cahill and cole were average with azpi. Ramires and MVG were perfect in the 2nd half Moses had an energy we lacked in the attack from oscar but his decision making in the final third was bad. Hazard came to life in this half till he got tired in the last 20mins. He dissapeared when KDB was told to sit in the pivot. KDB was magnificent at first and he provided extra intensity and spreading passes especialy when behind torres. But when jose moved him to the pivot, he was bad. Torres was actualy good. His linkup play was great, and he was making good runs actually. Maybe it was because of the improved overall midfield but he looked better than most pple thought. Essien was good with more controll in the midfield but was no where to be found when madrid countered us a couple of times, since his partner in the pivot(KDB) was a more attacking player, I expected essien to put a better defensive duty. He was bad in that aspect but his passing foward was good. So in summary Mourinho tried new things in this match and got his answers. The best formation he got was the 2nd half one. But he also learned that KDB was bad in the pivot and oscar was bad in the wings. I hope he also learned that iva is a better CB than cahill and is not a good right back. I'm happy we played this match, a lot of his tactical questions were answered.

Were not selling luiz except for 50mil, football has developed from just rock solid defenders to defenders that are comfortable on the ball. So that in case the midfield is marked out, the defender can still create with good passing.

i see fernadinho is severely underestimated. I know he wasn't worth 30mil bcos of his age, but his dribbling in tight spaces mixed with his vision and long shots is a massive improvement in their midfield. They have a very strong midfield with yaya toure, fernadinho and silva

In comparison to other players this is how i see mikel, Mikel in chelsea = yaya toure for barcelona Mikel in nigeria = Yaya toure for manchester city In barcelona yayatoure was the main DM, but in manchester city, he is playing next to barry who is more defensive to free up his potential. This is NOT building the team around him (there are also major players like silva and aguero in the same team), but this will release mikels potential to be a better player for us than he is playing now. So if mikel is playing the more attacking role in the pivot, you will see the mikel that bossed the first half against spain. If you play him as the more defensive in the pivot, you know what you get

Spot on davey :clap: maybe he is too proud to realise he is playing terrible and try to get better. The boo's may be exactly what he needs to realise not everyone is satisfied with his peformance.

Torres deserves every criticism period. No one has any right to criticize any of the fans who pay to go out there and support our chelsea and see bullsh*t from torres almost all the time. The board seem to want to make torres score at the cost of our team, if booing him finally make them stop playing torres and we start winning why not?? Torres lovers can go and suck his d**k for all i care, he doesnt play like he gives a f**k about this club.

The people supporting torres are ridiculous. Its because of this guys poor peformance that our beloved dimatteo is gone, he went on a goal drought for 11 matches and we couldnt win in 8 matches. Because of his poor peformance against westbrom, dimatteo was forced to play juventus without him and that backfired. Open your eyes and confirm whether you are supporting chelsea fc or torres fc!!
