After Dider's outburst last week its easy to forget this guys contribution to our success . An outstanding footballer who has become a huge part of our success . I absolutely LOVE the guy , i understand a lot here may regard him as a libilaty and his outburst has cost us credibility.

Bollocks to thst, i dont support Chelsea to win popularity contests and if the press hate us because of his antics then let them get on with it .

Drogba for me will never be replaced in terms of ability and quality and i'd feel a huge gap in my life as a Chelsea fan when he leaves.

As a family , Drogba has become a hero along with Lamps , Terry and Essien, even Ossie and Wise and it's very difficult to change the feelings for a player we have made a part of our lives and regard as a huge part of our success.

I hope he stays , even for 1 more season because regardeless of his failings , we should stand by OUR player , support him and not get on his back .

We will shoot ourselves in the foot if we let him go in the summer. Even if we get a 30 Million striker, we still need to keep Drogba, he offers something no one else in the world can provide. As I see it, the talk of ' Roman will let Drogba go' it's all media agenda, we kept him when he was rock bottom, now he's in form, and we will sell him? How f** stupid the media think we are

All of that. An essential part of our armoury if we seriously want to challenge for the top prizes next season. The "must keep" players IMO are:

Cech

Cashley

JT

Lamps

Essien

Drogba

I'd even be tempted to throw in the name of Alex with the form he has shown again this season.

My first post in the forum

I recently wrote this letter to Pat Nevin

Hey pat

Since i now know you do read these mails and you are probably the only

link i have to chelsea fc I wanted to get a few things across after

barca match events.

We all know the injustices and player reactions after the match, i

dont want to dwell on that. We know what was fair .

The thing that irritates me most about drogba most is his constant

diving . He is a deadly striker and if he stands on his feet more

often can convert those chances easily .

I hope you get the drift , i dont want to waste your time but if

possible please get this message to DD or the coach or whoever nearest

you can as a humble request from a fan/cfc fans .

I dont know about the modern game and examples of ronaldo , gerrard

but DD is much more blatant and i dont know if he needs counseling

about it or what and i dont want my clubs player to stoop to so low

levels . He is just very annoying and even as a CFC fan it is a pain

to watch him do that stuff .Surely smarter and much more knowlegdeable

blokes like you know better and i hope you try to convey this message

across to him somehow . I know i am trying a wild goose chase with

this mail but i simply dont know what else should i do .

We love his passion , we love his ability .If he can just stop diving

around he can again produce a 33 goal season for us .

Cheers and regards

Abhishek Mehta

Sod the press, sod the non-Chelsea supporting public, sod Uefa, the FA - sod the lot of 'em. People liked Ranieri's Chelsea because we didn't win anything. People liked the Chelsea that repeatedly lost to nothing teams in the Uefa Cup - people began to like Scolari's Chelsea because it was apparent that under his management we were in danger of going into freefall, Leeds style. I'll say it again - if Scolari hadn't f**ked it up big time, this team of "overpaid, overrated, over-the hill mercenaries" could very well be sitting well clear at the top of the Premier League. Think of a few of the results under Scolari (listed elsewhere, can't be bothred to go through it again) and it's not only a possibility but a cast-iron certainty.

But bacl to Drogba. When Chelsea fans tell you they're embarrassed by his antics, my feeling is that a lot of this embarrassment results from feeding into media over-reaction. Look at, whoever it was, that Arsenal player who dived in the penalty area yesterday - there was NO CONTACT. This twat blatantly tried to cheat his way to a penalty. Yet hardly a word is said. "Why did he have to go down. Tut tut." No more is said. Fact is, Drogba very rarely dives in the fashion made demonstably infamous by the Sainted Starfish, what he actually does is, what he is actually castigated for, is that he exaggerates the effects of sometimes minimal contact. And it's not so difficult to understand why e does this when referees are so reluctant to award blatant penalties. Drogba is a fall guy, portrayed as the worst thing to happen to the English game ever, when he is in fact nothing of the sort. Most of the hate includes "for a guy as big as Drogba". In other words, if he was a little short-arse slimeball like Alvez, it would be ok. Or Ronaldo. When it comes to actual diving, not feigning injury or exaggerating the effects of contact, but deliberate pre-meditated attempts to win free kicks and penalties when there has been NO CONTACT, Ronaldo is perhaps an even worse offender than the Starfish, yet like the Sainted one, this is glossed over. Did you see his reaction when he was taken off? Imagine how the media would have reacted if that had been a Chelsea player.

So Drogba swore at a camera. So what? I've actually read reports that he assaulted the ref based on this. And sh*t like this becomes accepted fact. Because some twat of a bitter, twisted, malicious little scroat of a journalist says so. On Wednesday night he undoubtedly called it as it was - no two ways about it, it was a f**king disgrace. As is the continued hypocrisy rampant within the English game in particular.

f**k 'em all.

There have been so many debates re Drogba over the seasons that they’ve become pretty tiresome to be honest. What more can be said. We all know how good he can be, but we also are more than aware of the flip side to that.

For me, there is no way you can put Drogba in the “must keep at all costs†bracket, because the bloke is not someone you can rely on, like you can with JT, Essien & Lamps. You’re never sure what Drogba is gonna turn up. He can be unplayable one game and fairly average the next. I’m not bothered about what outsiders think, but I don’t think Chelsea fans have ever been so split on a CFC player. Some are willing to overlook all his bad habits, some pretty much detest him.

Next season, I would like to see us be able to vary things a lot more. If Drogba is willing to sit on the bench for a fair number of games then sure keep him. I can’t see any really big clubs coming in for him anyway – he’s 31/32 and could well get a European ban.

I wonder how much Benzema would cost us?

I dont think we should use 'your team does it too' . That fact does not change the fact that our player does indeed dive , The thing is it is a justification we are giving to ourselves that so and so dives as well , so its ok for DD too . This merely puts us in a false state of comfort , i hate it when a ronaldo , gerrard or DD dives . I absolutely spite it , if they dive let them , why should we ?

I like Drogba and havent got a problem with his passion. I still dont like the way he falls over. The problem is if he gets tackled hard, he goes over and the refs think he is bluffing! Yes he can dive at weak challenges but some challenges are pretty tough.

He had a great season with 33 goals but why did he have a great season - Sheva was there!

I think Drogba loves playing with another striker and feed of them like when Sheva was there.
