BBC saying Viduka is having a great game.

I cant imagine how the atmophere in SJP must have died after a third minute own goal

He was damn good, Worked for everything.

The atmosphere was spectacular at the end though.

I was watching the promotion playoffs on a stream earlier too, how is it that this game and championship matches have quality streams, and Chelsea's are usually crap!

I saw the highlights a little while ago. Place looked like it exploded with the second and third went in.

If Shearer saves them, Ashley's hands are tied for next year. Its Shearer again or its anarchy, and god help Ashley if he doesnt buy all the players Shearer wants

The Toon fans are fools if they think this. They've been consistently awful, and the only reason they even got out of the relegation zone is that they were lucky enough to find a team even more dismal than themselves.

And Ashley didn't buy any of the players Keegan wanted... so why should he act any differently towards Shearer?

Newcastle are going to stay up now. Chances are they wont even need another point.

Expect the Savior Shearer sh*te to go on all week and expect the Geordies to start talking about a 09/10 championship challenge come July.

Shame, I would have loved to see Newcastle go down, just to bring that prat Shearer down a peg or two.

Thats pretty much the name of the game. I like Newcastle, but their delusion is Scouse-esque in quality. Every summer they sign about 5 attackers and think they have a squad that is going to be pushing for Europe. And they build the defense on the backs of men who just cannot defend.

But now that Shearer is there, and he is potentially gonna save them from oblivion, then there is absolutely no way Ashley would be able to say no to him. Ever. He learned his lesson with Keegan, and im sure the wrath would be worse with Shearer. If they even percieve he isnt giving him full backing, I cannot even imagine the hell they will give him. I think the club now lives and dies by what he can do next year.

If Ashley had any brains, he would ask for much better defenders, a new midfielder to replace some of the crap they have in the middle, and to trim some of the fat on that squad. But I fully expect them to sign, say, Mido, Darren Bent, and Julien Faubert, and be in the exact same spot next year.

Barney is right. Hull have been so bad I dont think Newcastle even need another point now.

The Mankers play Hull last match by which time the Prem will be in the bag

Maybe they should let Hull take the 3 points just to Stuff Shearer
