Yet another example of a journalist putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with a transfer rumour.

Cole has less than 12 months to run on his contract at Stamford Bridge and although the club are keen to prolong the agreement and the player, a boyhood Chelsea fan, is not agitating for a move, other clubs, chief among them Spurs, have scented an opportunity.

CHELSEA DISMISS SPECULATION

Posted on: Mon 03 Aug 2009

Contrary to media reports Chelsea is not, and will not be, considering any offers for Joe Cole.

Our sole focus, as is Joe's, is to complete his rehab and get him fit as soon as possible so that he can play a major part in the new season.

It beggars belief doesn't it! Joe even said "sitting on the Chelsea bench is the second best job in the world to playing for Chelsea." Arry can do one, and the press even more so!
