September 16, 200915 yr A gay dog for a ............... No doubt whoever wins will be investigated as an insider ;)
September 16, 200915 yr No doubt whoever wins will be investigated as an insider Not any more. News of the bet led to astronomical levels of wailing from within Merseyside and it has since been withdrawn.
September 17, 200915 yr Author An oldie but goodie take on the same story: If Joey Barton Burgled a Liverpool Player, Then THAT Would Be News Time to get metaphysical: If something happens with predictable regularity, then is it still news? Today (November 7th, 2008) we learned that Liverpool’s Lucas returned from Champions League duty on Tuesday to find his house had been burgled. And so Lucas joins Dirk Kuyt, Steven Gerrard, Pepe Reina, Daniel Agger and Peter Crouch on the list of Liverpool players burgled while they were out playing for Liverpool. It’s news but isn’t. Similarly, Joey Barton’s name came up in court recently… Teenager Jordan Spencer is suing the world’s worst role model for the damage done to his face last December, which apparently left Jordan with a scar that “can be seen from six foot awayâ€. I wish Joey Barton would make the headlines for reasons other than damaging other human beings. In other news: water is wet, smoke is smokey and a team from Glasgow will win the Scottish Premier League. Now if it turns out that it was Joey Barton burgling all those Liverpool players, then we’d have have a story. LINK
September 17, 200915 yr Glen Johnson must be high on the list being new to the area... One thing is for sure he won't be able to defend a Burglary

September 24, 200915 yr Looks like no one's winning these bets, unless they put some money on... him LIVERPOOL, England (Reuters) - Everton's England defender Phil Jagielka was robbed at knifepoint by thieves who burst into his Cheshire home while he was watching his team on television, British media reported on Thursday. The 27-year-old, who has been sidelined since last season with a knee injury, was watching Everton's 4-0 League Cup third-round win at Hull City when he was forced to hand over jewellery and the keys to his Range Rover car by three men. It makes you wonder - at this rate, will there be any players left who want to live in their Slums ? EDIT: Sorry, just saw this has already been posted. Edited September 24, 200915 yr by Virosh
September 25, 200915 yr Yeah but the bet is on Liverpool players, not Everton players...so the bet is still on, but I think they'll have reduced the odds somewhat
September 28, 200915 yr Yeah but the bet is on Liverpool players, not Everton players...so the bet is still on, but I think they'll have reduced the odds somewhat Officially, the whole thing is off. A trademark Scouse media campaign besieged Paddy Power and made them drop it. I thought the whole thing was funny but a little out of line. I hope Jagielka and his family are okay, and I just cannot for the life of me understand how this continues to happen
