haha love it, not only that kakuta is a class above the likes of any youngsters the mancs and liverpool have. I have been impressed with ramsey and wilshere so will reserve judgement for that comparison once i have seen more of kakuta.

Obviously that will change somewhat with the return of Lamps,Ballack,Drogba, Riccy and Deco however its good to see. No doubt the media will be all over this like a rash

i reckon too much hsa been made of the age of the squad. jsut looking at last season scolari was too lazy to look past the big names he'd already heard about and when guus took over we were in freefall with very little room for manouver so he was forced to play safe and mostly play the big name established players. i've lost count of how many youngsters are out on loan but i'm convinced theyre getting much better experience with other prem and even lower league teams than they would in the reserves. thinking about it it was ferguson who started it sayign Chelsea are too old to win anything and of course the press lap up everything he says.

Nice to see Kakuta on the pitch; he showed some nice touches, lets hope this continues and he's been worth the agro.

I have never been to bothered about the age of our squad, i'd rather have a team capable of winning trophies now than doing an Arsenal and build for the future(how long they been building for the future now?5yrs?).

The squad has a good balance of youth and experience and even the older players still have a few years left in them at the top level. In the modern game the players look after themselves better so can play way into their 30's anyway.

Wenger himself seems to have realised the importance of experience with signings like silvestre and being linked again with Veira.

Fergie new we would be his biggest threat this year and fired out the early mind games, but i remember even at the time people laughed at him because there was'nt any difference in the average ages of both teams, this without our recent introductions from the youth team.
