Scott: I first learned about him a couple of years ago through watching a Documentary on the history of the ‘Early Blues Music’.  

Also read an article about him in a Guitar Magazine about the ‘Early 20th Century Giants of the Acoustic Guitar.’  

It was about this time. I began to appreciate, amongst others, Big Bill Broonzy.

It was No 1 in the UK charts for all of June 1983.  I was then in 4th Year in Secondary School.

Many of those in my year liked The Police as a band.

That’s why I remember it.
