no doubt he is a class player, however he is in a direct competition with lamps, they are working hard to see which one makes a worst season.

So that put me off interest bringing Gerrard here. If you could talk to him and ask him why is he performing so badly? maybe is just Liverpool at the moment, they are in real trouble. Torres yesterday was mad at the team, you could see that in the pen kick, and maybe gerrard too, maybe for that he punch players, he says referees to f**k off, etc

NO NO NO

If I want to see anyone from Manu, Arsenal or Liverpool at the Bridge it would be Fabregas.

Doing my best to ignore the 'he is an odious runt' argument and think it through from a football perspective.

At the moment a priority for us has to be to bring in players who either have their best years still to come or are at least just hitting their best. Gerrard is either 30 or very near it, is coming off the back of one of the worst seasons of his career in terms of personal performance and therefore there is a big risk that his best years are already behind him.

Signing him would be a backward step.

Aside from that he is an odious runt!

You are relaitively new on here and starting a thread on Steven Gerrard is bound to surprise plenty of us and more so, disgust quite a few. He's not the most loved player on here as far as I know.

And anyway, he'll be 30 years old as he represents England at the WC this summer. And our squad has too many players on the wrong side of 30 for my liking. To add that, he commits too many offences on and off the field and gets away with it. We don't want such characters at the club. JT gave it a go and it hasn't helped our fortunes this season.

To be honest i didnt hate Ashley cole at all, i've learnt to hate Gerrard. He is the captain and the star of a team i despise, the liverpool fans worship him like no other and think he's superman when he's just a dirty diving overated pr*ck.

Drogba dives like no other but people take notice, when Stevie GBH V dives he "slips" and i havent heared a single pundit talk about it. Also the press find it worse for a player to sleep with his ex team mates ex girlfriend than punching someone like a professional boxer.

He gets away with elbowing a player, he also gets away and V'ing the ref.

Im sure Liverpool fans feel the same way about our players especially Drogba but hey they have every right and i have every right to hate Steven Gerrard.

Suggesting we sign Gerrard was folly. Suggesting he is better than the Bison, that is bordering on being sectioned!

Essien is comfortably better than Gerrard and most importantly is that Essien shows up 4 games out of 5. Gerrard doesn't have anything like the same consistency.

Essien is our best midfielder. Lamps is worse this season!

Your insane, this season neither Gerrard and Lampard would make the world eleven they have both been pretty poor but essien would walk into any team in world football, including Barcelona.

It's not even April 1st yet and people are saying Gerrard's better than the bison? He's a future Chelsea captain in my opinion if we can keep hold of him.
