laughable lamps to real

Featured Replies

Well if Mourinho would take over Real Madrid then I wouldn't be surprised if he would want to buy Lampard. I mean, who wouldn't want him?

But this is just guesswork so far.

just read that as well, as much of a load of crap as i believe it is hypothetically speaking if there is a 30mil bid for him i wonder if the club would accept that as it is a lot of money for a 31 year old.

mourinho wanted him at Inter too and didn't get him even when lamps had yet to sign new deal...this is a story saying jose, who isn't even at real yet, will succeed with a £30m bid now...it's fantasy

I know this will be massively controversial, and I will say that my hope is that super frank retires and coaches with us, but if he wants a season in spain before he's done, why not now before he's past it? He's given so much to us, yet we have to start building a future. If we have to look for a replacement now, perhaps it will be better than having to look for a replacement during the season when he finally fails to deliver. I suspect (and hope) that season may come much later in his career, maybe even later than for giggs or scholes. God knows he's as consumately professional and commited as any other world class player ever to have graced the prem. But we know it'll come, and when that happens we'll have to kick on without him. So let's not be scared of him going, in fact we should wish him well. He's earned it.

(please don't go frank!!)

I would never want Chelsea to force him out....but if he feels like he needs to do it, we shouldn't stand in his way.

So if we get a good offer, and he says he wants to finish his career elsewhere, and get more money, I don't know we could stop him.

But I doubt anyone would pay that money to get him....he is well into his 30's....

If, and this is a big if, because if you were 31 or 32, and someone came along and offered you 30 million, in the twighlight of your career, would you not be sorely tempted??

I really hope that Frank sees out the end of his contract at Chelsea, and then retires. He's be an absolute dead cert Chelsea legend at that point, and quite probably one of the finest players Chelsea (and world football - although if he went to Real that woud still be true) has ever seen.

When Lamps signed his new deal he said he wants to end his career here. I know whenever a player signs a new deal you get the usual stories like that but it did seem different as he spoke of all the support the club and fans had given him over the loss of his mother. I know dont expect Lampard will want to leave and I cant imagine the club will force him out as they know it will cause friction between the club and fns

Although Lamps is starting to get on a bit, i'd be gutted if he left the club, not to mention he's in the top 5 goal scorers this season still so he's playing well

Well... If Lamps would have changed the blue shirt out with any other shirt he would have done it last year.

JT and Lamps will never play for another club.

JT and Lamps for Coach'es in 10 years :D  ::ChELSeAFaN::
