midfield now short of ballack, belleti, joey, deco........................yossi definitely swap for deco and can link the play, we need cover in the holding role - what about matic to step up?, also need someone who can do a right wingers job with some pace..........not sure who?

and, need a another keeper cos hlarious not really up to it is he

up front be good to have someone who can change it, smaller, quicker and craftier - plenty of south americans can do that

We aren't short of right backs as Ivan has proved he is more than capable of playing there.

As Loz mentioned I think were probably better covered in LB than almost any other club in the world with Ivanovich and Bosingwa who bouth could walk into almost any clubs first team (Inter aside :P)

Turnbull I think will be a good backup for Cech once he gets more games in, so I think we really should look at bringing in another young keeper via youth system.

I think people are getting to excited about the exits.....face it we had one of the strongest squads in Europe last season and while we are seeing a lot of exits, not a single one was a first team regular player ....just a bunch of squad/bitpart palyer, which JCole had turned into these past few seasons.

Considering we are only 1 week into the window, I think we are off to an excellent start with the Benayoun signing considering he is replacing exactly waht we are losing, experienced EPL/CL squad players. We also have to allow room for youths to grow.

I think anyone pushing the panic button needs to realise that the guy at the helm just gave us our most successful season ever with a team comprised of players he didnt piclk. Lets give him some faith and allow him the time to build up the squad as he see's fit, he has earned that much atleast!

Ya i was just remembering that we are supposed to have some goalie in the youths whose suppose dto have bags of potential and is physically larger than our first squad keepers!

I don't think he joins until January, because we organised the deal to get around the transfer ban.

I still don't get what people's problem with Hilario is btw, keepers are judged incredibly harshly on here IMO.

I think our right back situation is good. Boss coming back, Ivanovic -the best right back voted by other premier league players last season- and we still have Paulo.

Midfield is more complicated. Ballack, Deco, Joey and Belletti out and Benayoun and Essien in. Matic and Kakuta waiting.

Problem comes if our maestro gets injured. Frankie is an ironman but we can expect him to injure more easily now that age factor comes in more significantly. I don't see Benayoun replacing him. Essien is closest call but maybe we could bolster that area with one quality midfielder..

I've been singing Mikel's name all the time he's been here but I'm concerned he won't come the player we all want. His risk taking ability is zero and he looks like a scary boy, still. The most obvious difference between him and Maka is that Maka always tried to find a player above him not from the side or back. He took the risk and was good at what he did. Mikel slows our otherwise fast paced game down. Could we cash in on him??

good point about mikel, he hasnt got maka's pace or innocent grin when he fouls!

agree about Ivan, but prefer him at centre-back, so I'm sticking on a full back

yes we won the double with that squad, but this is the time to really push on and stay ahead of the pack, which likely to include mancC now -

agree we have some good younger players, brouma really impresses me and looks like a JT backup later, but kakuta won't get better unless he plays - he reminds me a bit of messi but e needs loads of pitchtime for me

we still need someone who can play wide on the right with attacking flair......................can't remember his name but I liked the Chilean right winger

I think you mean Sanchez. He did have a good tournament and has also, for someone so young, done well in the last couple of seasons for Udinese. His signature would please me just as much, if not more than, the more popular idea of buying Ozil.

Central midfield is in need of reenforcement and the 23 year old Brazilian, Ramires, who plays for Benfica is a distinct possibility. Benfica are a selling club and if the price is right Ancelotti shiould sign him.

I understand Mourinho is interested in him!
