Our friend Nat (don't know if he's still around the forum) asked if he could use mine and Val's memberships to get a couple of tickets for some friends (Olympiakos game) just so happened that the friends were Greeks. To cut along story short they were thrown out and our memberships were suspended while Chelsea investigated the case against Nat. We were reinstated after a couple of months and a few telephone calls. And Nat learnt not to try to do so many people favours.

Actually I have met Nat, at a CSR piss-up at the Duke on Parsons Green, several years ago. I think he posted on here a couple of times last season.

Nat is a good bloke. He cocked up badly with Tim and Val's membership and I think we can all understand why they would be annoyed. He did apologise and it is maybe a tad unfair to keep bringing it up after all this time.

Have to say that article really pisses me off. If the club are really serious about sorting out touting then why don't they merely walk the beat between Fulham Broadway and the ground every match day where they will find loads of the c**ts.

If your serious about sorting it out Chelsea then sort those w**kers out first because they are taking the piss out of everyone.

Bit unfair of you to have a pop at me - Nat and I have met several times since and have joked about it and we both see the funny side (believe me when you know the whole story there is a funny side). There are absolutely no hard feelings on my part, Nat is a good mate who made a mistake to help some friends out, end of. The reason I posted it as Dear Nat was the connection to what happened and the way the head of the SS dealt with it. (SS = Stamford Bridge Security, but the association fits well) Like Geezer said it's not stopping touts, just forcing ST and members to line Viagogo pocket and I expect the club get a share as well.

It pays to exercise caution....I did not use mine or my wife's season ticket for the CL game against Inter at the Bridge last season. I let a friend who is generally trustworthy purchase the tickets and thought no more of it.

If only you'd let me have your Inter ticket last season. I was desperate for a ticket having failed to get one through the club, despite having what I thought was a substantial number of loyalty points. I ended up watching it in the Euston Flyer pub, where there were probably more Italians than Chelsea fans, a truly awful memory in so many ways.

I had a couple of (cough cough) apparent friends of touts on here, who "helpfully" put me in touch with touts who kindly offered me a ticket for the bargain price of £500.

But the pronouncements of the club seem insincere to me. As any regular matchgoer knows, it's impossible to walk from Fulham Broadway to the ground without passing at least 20 of the bar steward touts trying to buy/sell tickets and they are so blatant that they clearly know that they can do so with impunity.

I know that but the majority of others don't so if they read your post they will just assume Nat is a typical ticket tout without knowing the context.

So I assume if you sell your tickets via viagogo and they end up with a "hooligan" or an away fan then it doesn't matter?

No hard feelings on my part, either. In fact, at work I use my suspension as an illustration that I'm really a hooligan and colleagues shouldn't cross me if they know what's good for them :)

Besides, it's a nice running gag for Tim W and myself.
