I think it shows just how good the team spirit has been at our club for the past several years, that a player known for his moaning, nomadic ways is so comfortable and happy with us. And I think some of the praise for that has to go to our captain.

He's certainly given us our money's worth. 15mil has looked like a bargain.

Hopefully he continues for a bit longer.

Top man, great player. I wasn't so sure about him when he signed, but he has been immense for us.

I reckon we will get two more years out of Anelka max so it'd be good to get him on a new deal.

Anelka no more playing for France ...so he would be more focused on the Club career and it has to be highest priority for him.This works well in our favor to have him here.

He has come up good over last 2 seasons....hope he continues the same way in at least 2 seasons more.

Its weird I remember when Bolton signed him and I thought it was quite exciting for them, never thought he'd end up at Chelsea. If you'd have said that to me in 1998 I'd have laughed.

He can stay as long as he likes as far as im concerned , what a brilliant signing he has been. He has been asked to carry our forward line in DDs absence and done it well as well as providing an alternative attacking threat when DD is in the team.

Should be banned from being involved in short corners though.

to be fair the moaning brand was down to the media and hes money hungry agent who is also he's brother. even big nose thompson said when anelka was at liverpool he was a joy to work with. great to see him looking to stay on at chelsea. im sure hes after hes last big contracted
