June 7, 201115 yr So noone seems interested but he scored twice on debut for France yesterday and got an assist as well.
June 7, 201115 yr http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcLejnH6_ME Looks good. Although I'm not a really a fan of taking chances on players who have had one breakout year. Lots of players seem to be one season wonders these days. Also like the look of M'vila though he's a defensive midfielder.
June 7, 201115 yr I'm sure some of us are actually interested in players like Martin and M'Villa, but until they are linked with us it's not worth caring too much what they are doing. Still though, thanks for giving me more names to buy in FIFA!
June 7, 201115 yr Chelsea Transfer List: 1.Modric OR Pastore OR Wesley. 2.Neymar. 3.Lukaku & De bruyne. 4.VDW. 5.Sanchez ( OR another Winger because sanchez close to go to barca or inter). Will Leave: Anelka,Zhirkov,Fereira,Bosi,Malouda. LINK
June 7, 201115 yr Says Ashley Young is on the verge of joining United Bit strange for me. Don't they have an exactly same, but slightly better player in Nani?
June 7, 201115 yr young is very versitile can play in the hole, number 10, wings, scores free kicks, and is probably better than nani in quality of play. It strengthens there squad no matter what and he is the sort of player who will fit right in there so looks a good move for them. I wouldnt minded him playing number 10 role for us, the amount of goals he has gifted bent is great
June 7, 201115 yr Spot on Mike. He ticks a lot of boxes that we could do with ticking. But of course we have no manager and no director of football, so we'll be racing around August 31 trying to buy someone exactly the same for 10m more because we can't get our arse into gear to have things ready to buy players when we should be.
June 7, 201115 yr Shame fergie has got his head on 15mill for a player of his class is unbelieveable. The only clubs of interest seems to be man u and liverpool. Surely we could of turned his head with the attraction of the city etc, and he was a watford player so knows london well no doubt. The worst thing is he would slot in any of the front positions in our team with ease.
June 8, 201115 yr Personally don't see why you guys are so bothered. He's decent but I wouldn't really call him a big game changer. And he'll be a backup at United cause they have quality wingers and a no.10. He'll be 26 next month, so not really that young either. And the price quoted is £20 million which is way too much imo.
June 8, 201115 yr Nah, I reckon he will get the nod tpo start quite a few games, and to say he isn't a big game changer is ridiculous, where's the evidence, he has only played at villa give him a chance. Tbh, he has got pretty much everything. Can go past players cross the ball score pass. Just bacause its 'young' doesn't mean he won't get a good chance to prove himself at united. I am sure if he didn't expect first team football he wouldn't be leaving. Just my opinon
June 8, 201115 yr I'd like to see Phil Jones as a long term replacement for John Terry. Rumours are that he's available for £15m. He's got potential and being English he would slot straight in with the home-grown rules that are in place. Edited June 8, 201115 yr by MattCFC

I am sure if he didn't expect first team football he wouldn't be leaving. Just my opinon You have a valid point, and Fergie does like to rotate his team quite a bit, so I would expect him to at least get a few games to show what he can do (you don't spend that kind of money on a player with the expectation that he won't at least have a crack at breaking into the first XI). Thing is, I struggle to see who he'll displace from their standard 4-5-1. You've got to think that Rooney is safe in that AM/striker role that he plays and Nani and Valencia are their best options for on the wings. The only other real option is to put him in for someone like Fletcher, but then he's starting quite deep and to my mind you're not going to get the best out of him from back there. They'd be better off with someone like Modric if they were going to do that...
June 8, 201115 yr True, he has been dropped in favour of that Korean bloke that runs a lot recently. Still think Nani's better than Young though
June 8, 201115 yr Yeah. I guess my point was that their attacking positions are all set, but they don't really have anyone to play the deeper centre-mid role. Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson...none of those names exactly fill you with fear, do they? If I were Fergie, I'd be looking for people to fill that hole rather than pick up Young. To get back on topic of Chelsea rumours, though, Chelsea launch new £9million bid for wonderkid Kevin De Bruyne

June 9, 201115 yr Here's a couple of sneaky ones from Sabah in the Turkish Press. Hiddink is intent on bringing Arda Turan and Fenerbahce's right back Gokhan Gonul to the club with him. Not entirely unexpected I suppose. Their best player and their national right back would seem to be obvious targets for the press to latch onto. Still I'd take Turan for sure. He is class and in the age bracket we're after.

Not entirely unexpected I suppose. Their best player and their national right back would seem to be obvious targets for the press to latch onto. Still I'd take Turan for sure. He is class and in the age bracket we're after. Found this on Turan's Wikipedia page: "In his personal life he describes himself as a big fan of Galatasaray. He says that "Other teams have offered me really big money but my love for Galatasaray is real." He also declares that "I want to play in major leagues and my dream team is Liverpool F.C.." He also included his dream of play for Liverpool FC "As I always mention, Liverpool attracts me because of their tradition. In Europe, I am a Liverpool supporter, so if I go to play in Europe, I would like to play for them." [13]" Not sure if I like him anymore haha.
June 9, 201115 yr Considering Liverpool's hatred for Gala...they would be stinking hypocrites to want him...so why would he want to go there?
June 9, 201115 yr United have almost wrapped up around £50m worth of signings..anyone else find it a bit frustrating sitting and watching
June 9, 201115 yr United have almost wrapped up around £50m worth of signings..anyone else find it a bit frustrating sitting and watching Nope given we don't have a manager yet, its obvious that we will enter the market a little late. Besides I am yet to see a signing that our competitors have made that would make us feel threatened.

Besides I am yet to see a signing that our competitors have made that would make us feel threatened. Well any improvement they do and we dont, I'd feel threatened given that we weren't really better off than them to start with.
