Deadline Day ... Wednesday 31st August

Featured Replies

As we secured Torres and Luiz in January, guess we all remember where we were, hope

I am not where I was this time around .. in a hospital bed!

Thought it would be interesting posting both up to date transfers on the day, rumours and predictions.

I may be stating the obvious but here are mine ....

Luca Modric Spurs to Chelsea

Álvaro Daniel Pereira Porto to Chelsea

Kevin De Bruyne Racing Genk to Chelsea ( with loan back agreement )

Joe Cole Liverpool to Spurs

Scott Dann Birmingham to Arsenal

Gary Cahill Bolton to Spurs

Stephane Mbia - Marseille to Arsenal

Luca Modric Spurs to Chelsea

Álvaro Daniel Pereira Porto to Chelsea

Kevin De Bruyne Racing Genk to Chelsea ( with loan back agreement )

I can't see all three happening, would be happy though. I'm a bit pessimistic about De Bruyne, i'm not sure about his quality. Also, i would love to see a right footed winger, too, but we didn't have any rumors about someone like that, so there is no point in dreaming. :)

I think QPR will make a big signing.

Chelsea

Arsenal

Yann M'Vila - £22m

Chris Samba - £10m

Fulham

Cameron Jerome - £7m

Liverpool

Scott Dann - £15m

Man City

De Rossi £20m

Stoke

Peter Crouch £7m

Neymar and Ganso to Chelsea for 60m GBP combined. What are the odds for this to happen?

Would be nice though, Neymar and Mata on the wings, constantly changing position with Ganso coming off the bench if we need a creative spark and then finally replacing Lamps next season. Ahh day dreams can be a good thing

We had an exciting final day of the January transfer window, I feel greedy expecting another one.... ah sod it - get everyone!

Ganso isn't player who can replace Lamps, he doesn't have knees, and he is injury prone.

A knee-less footballer?! That's impressive enough for me, sign him up!

Ganso had a major injury thats right... but is that enough to say he is injury-prone and doesnt have knees ???

Well, with little over 24 hours to go and I am getting the increasing sense that nothing much is going to happen at all. And probably not only at the Bridge. Today has been very uneventful. Even the rumour mill hasn't exactly been in overdrive today, let alone any actual movement.

I guess the Modric move is over and we might just make one last signing in midfield but only a squad padder outer - say a Minerio (or whatever his name was).

Mainly I'm hoping that we hang on to everything we've got now. I can't really see selling Kalou, Malouda, Alex or even Yossi is going to help us at all between now and Xmas.

Also, isn't it a week later that the loaning out of our youth talent starts? That will certainly be a busier day at Chelsea than tomorrow.

Today was the lull before the storm and I think it'll be a bloody big storm but unlike previous transfer window days I'm missing this one as I'll be getting wined and dined on the river Danube - it's a hard life I tell you

Latest I've heard is that we're sending Lampard, Terry, and Sturridge to Liverpool for N'gog. Exciting times!

After all, that one Liverpool poster on their boards rated him a 7/10!

Wenger is going to grab another winger and no defense while Man U will pay big for Sneijder to make the move tomorrow.

If Chelsea have offered 40 mil for Modric, I am not sure how they can turn down that money to be honest. 'Arry threw him under the bus and Modric asking to be left out of the squad means something to me.

On a side note, the more that comes out about Arsenal, the more it seems the board is cheaper than Wenger. It makes me feel good to be a Chelsea man.

Very much so. I notice the Rumour Mill on the official site has been purged, leaving just a single non-transfer-related article from Monday's Guardian.

Enjoy the wining and dining and the Danube and all that.

Oh dear, this is going to be carnage one way or the other tomorrow night. Transfer deadline day is so much worse in the era of the twitterati. There's no control over bollocks.

I really don't want to make a prediction because I have an odd feeling that things are going to go crazy tomorrow and we might see a number of ins and outs, a lot more than anything that has been predicted.
